This work concerns to a web application Bus Ticket Reservation System that can be used in a bus transportation system in TEWU to reserve seats, cancellation of reservation and different types of route enquiries used on securing quick reservations. Also contains questions about the software development methods and models and questions about the interface system for Internet applications. To develop Bus Ticket Reservation System it is going to choose XP (Extreme Programming) methodology. In the future it is possible make the system more functional and user-friendly, and as a result may bring benefits in many bus transport companies.

Bus station transport is still one of the most widely used modes of transportation worldwide, particularly in India. Because of this, all of their working strategies make it easier to achieve the desired results. These technological advancements now provide one of the first-class services by means of the film station department and offer RFID eBook generation. Customers' payment for passengers is greatly simplified as a result, and they are relieved of having to deal with issues like trip tickets. The main goal of introducing this kind of gadget may be to simplify the process of booking and selling price tickets. This type of tags are used for manner verification and can be used to avoid fool proofing the machine. There are numerous passengers present, all of whom could use some additional financial support from donations. These RFID bands are much easier to read.

I I A R D-I n t e r n a t i o n a l I n s t i t u t e o f A c a d e m i c R e s e a r c h a n d D e v e l o p m e n t ABSTRACT Online Bus Ticket Reservation System is a Web based application that works within a centralized network. This project presents a review on the software program "Online Bus Ticket Reservation System" as should be used in a bus transportation system, a facility which is used to reserve seats, cancellation of reservation and different types of route enquiries used on securing quick reservations. OBTRS is built for managing and computerizing the traditional database, ticket booking and tracking bus and travel made. It maintains all customer details, bus details, reservation details. In order to achieve the design, Imo Transport Company (ITC) was chosen as a case study because of its strategic importance to Imo State. Structured Systems Analysis and Design Methodology (SSADM) was adopted. In addition, PHP Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) language was used for the front-end of the software while the back end was designed using MySQL. The software achieved is capable of improving the customer hand and relationship management in ITC operations. It is recommended that despite the present functionality of the designed software, an additional functionality such as the use of E-mail to send tickets and notifications to the customer and an online payment using credit cards/debit cards should be implemented into the system. Furthermore, other operations carried by ITC such as the courier services should also be integrated in order to enhance the system.

Utilization of Information Technology (IT) has now reached the stage of good. Utilization of IT is encouraging companies to use the system used to facilitate the work. Companies use IT as a means of disseminating information to recipients. The recipients of the current information want all access information to be viewed online, so without having to open print media they can receive information. From several case studies there are still many bus tickets booking service providers who have not utilized IT yet, in the absence of media providing online bus ticket booking service will have an impact on the difficulty level of users in booking tickets. In this research see the opportunity of utilization of IT in service provider to user, for example is XYZ bus company which use bus ticket booking system online. Looking at the concept of online ticket booking, the method used is based on the relationship between the user and the system depicted in OOAD (Object Oriented Analysis Design). The ultimate goal of this research is to hope with the existence of online bus ticket reservation is expected to facilitate users in utilizing IT that has been provided by the bus company.

This project addresses the study and development of an Online Bus Ticketing System web portal that enables making an online bus ticket purchase, ticket cancellation. which also acts as an operational tool for bus ticketing companies to operate their organization effectively. In India buses plays a vital role in transportation. Mostly people prefer public bus transportation because of its availability. Most of the people hates to wait for ticketing and likes to move by means digitalize format to reduce the time of waiting. The major problem faced by the passengers are more waiting time, non-refund of balance etc. So, to provide best experience we proposed methodology for e-ticketing application. In this application user needs to enter the bus number along with source, destination details and number of passengers. Once all the information is filled, the total amount for the travelling will be reduced from the e-wallet and the passenger will get the e-ticket by means of message which will contains all necessary information and a e-ticket id which will be used for authentication purpose. Passengers can also to track bus using the bus number which will be provided by means of GPS and passengers also able to get know about the time of arrival. This application will be useful to plan by knowing the location of the bus and reduces the waiting time.

An Extension to UML for the Modeling of Web Based Bus Reservation System

Bus reservation system had actualized in different nations for years, at first from manual to automated reservation system. Online bus ticketing and reservation administrations are adequately expanding in the market since it was propelled by Park May. Now, numerous individuals and organizations are beginning to gain insights of the express bus reservation system. Considering the bus ticket reservation system that has experienced a constant development in the recent years, nevertheless the means for their specifications are still underdeveloped. The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a language for the specification, visualization and documentation of object-oriented software systems. There is a lot of potential value in UML and diagrams in general. Existing UML diagrams can be utilized to helpfully display conduct. Therefore, in order to understand the development of bus reservation system, it is important to understand what the requirements are on the complete web based bus reservation system. Analyzing the web based bus reservation system by using UML diagrams. Consequently, the nature of theoretical models legitimately influences the nature of the comprehension of the application space and the nature of the last programming items that are at last dependent on them. In this study, we present (web based bus reservation system-UML), the proposed extension to UML covers aspects of use case diagram, sequence diagram, activity diagram and class diagram of the web based bus reservation at the various views and diagrams of UML.
