The qualification is to be completed over a minimum period of two years and a maximum period of four years for full-time students, and a minimum period of two years and a maximum period of five years for part-time students, on an approved topic. The Academic Regulations for doctoral qualifications are also applicable.

The purpose of this qualification is to develop the advanced competence of a student in designing and developing organizational interventions and procedures. The qualification will make it possible for students to fulfil a leadership role and adopt a critical and scientific approach to performance and change. This is a structured research program with research-based assignments and the application of research in practice, as the basis for the completion of the thesis.

The purpose of the Ph.D. in Human Resource Management is to develop the intellectual and professional skills of the student. A qualifying student would show evidence of independent and original scientific in the field of Human Resource Management work. The thesis would constitute a distinctive contribution to the knowledge of and insight into the module discipline as well as the field of research. Qualifying students would also display competence in the application of related research methodology, and the proper written and/or oral communication of the research process and findings. Students should be able to reflect on the research process and findings critically.

The Human Resources Management programme was created based on the current market situation analysis, which indicates high demand for specialists in this area. They work in leading management positions in organisational structures of various economic entities. They also become freelance personal and professional consultants. Students are interested in the abovementioned issues, mainly in a modern approach. Indicated education modules refer to advanced theories regarding human resources management, personal controlling, analysis of workforce indicators, pay systems, building an employer's image, organisational behaviours, social communication, job counselling and employment services.

The Faculty of Management and Social Communication has the A category granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and was honoured for education by the State Accreditation Committee. The variety of fields of studies conducted by the faculty makes this unit one of the best interdisciplinary faculties of the JU.
The premises of the Faculty of Management and Social Communication are located on the territory of the Campus of the 600th Anniversary of the JU Revival. The faculty is located in a modern building that consists of well equipped lecture halls, classes and computer rooms.
