Meri is steadily coming to realize that Kody isn't going to have the change of heart she has been waiting for and makes a life-changing decision. Lastly, Kody has been spending less and less time at Janelle's house, and, after an explosive fight, she kicks him out. Through their transparency and vulnerability, the Browns shed light on the hardships their family is struggling to overcome."

Sister Wives season 18 cast

Sister Wives is the story of a plural family comprised of Kody Brown, his first wife Meri, his second wife Janelle, his third wife Christine, his fourth wife Robyn and their combined 18 children.

Over the years, Sister Wives explored the family's move to Las Vegas as they fled the laws against polygamy in their original Utah home. From Las Vegas, the family moved to Flagstaff, Ariz., to build their dream compound, but trouble started brewing in the marriages as COVID-19 struck and the pandemic changed how the family interacted.

While the older kids started going to college, moving away, getting married and having babies, Kody's relationships with his wives started deteriorating. Christine was the first wife to leave him in November 2021. Janelle followed in December 2022, followed by Meri in January 2023, leaving Kody and Robyn as the sole couple remaining.

Kody Brown's children: Who are 'Sister Wives' star's 18 kids? From Mariah to Ariella, here's his huge family tree

Kody Brown is the patriarch of the Brown family. Kody was first married to Meri, and later spiritually married Janelle, and Christine. He later divorced Meri to marry his fourth wife Robyn, in order to adopt her three children from a previous marriage.

According to Radar Online, Kody filed for bankruptcy in 2005. Taking care of such a huge family is no mean feat. He even had to slash the selling price of their Las Vegas home by $25,000 due to their money troubles. Kody and his family have dabbled in business in the past and tried launching a jewelry line, which has not gone very well. Kody was raised in a Mormon household. Growing up, he recalls that his parents struggled with the Mormon faith and plural marriage. Interestingly, Kody's father was also a polygamist as well and had three wives, although he didn't become a polygamist until much later in life. Kody has a total of nine siblings himself.

The Browns had to flee police after they began looking into the family. The police were looking into their life of polygamy and possibly if there was a case for bigamy. It seems their hypervisibility due to their show may have backfired on them

Meri, the first wife of Kody Brown, has been married to the man for 24 years, since April of 1990. They were legally divorced in 2014 so that Kody could marry Robyn (his fourth wife) and adopt her three children, but still live together. On February 4, 2022, Meri revealed on an Instagram post that she is estranged from Kody. The two share one child, Mariah Brown.

Janelle Brown

Janelle, Kody's second wife via spiritual marriage, has been married to the man since June of 1993, via a spiritual marriage. They have six children together, namely, Logan, Madison, Hunter, Garrison  Gabriel, and, Savannah Brown. It seems like Janelle is thinking of leaving Kody too, after seeing how freeing the divorce has been on Christine Brown, who is also one of her closest friends.

Christine Brown

Christine, Kody's third wife, used to be married to him, although only spiritually. She announced her divorce in November of 2021, and the two decided to split ways after over 25 years together. They have six children together, namely, Aspyn, Mykelti, Paedon, Gwendlyn, Ysabel, and Truely. The upcoming season 17 will focus on Christine leaving Kody and the repercussions of her action on the Brown family.

Robyn Brown

Robyn often dubbed as Kody's favorite wife, is his second legal wife and fourth sister wife. The couple have been married since December of 2014. The couple share one child together, named David. She also has children, Dayton, Aurora, and Breanna from a previous relationship. Robyn is an actress by profession, and is known for her roles in 'Just Shoot Me!', 'Sister Wives', and 'WGN Morning News'.

Catching Up With the Sister Wives Cast

Catching Up With the Sister Wives Cast

In the season 16 premiere of Sister Wives from TLC, the Brown family seems to struggle with the new normal during and post-pandemic. Nevertheless, the show must go on. Here is the drama.

Meri Brown lives it up If there’s anyone who knows a thing or two about marching on even if the going gets tough, it’s Meri.  It seems it’s always rumored she’s done with Kody and is planning to leave, but she’s sticking it out.

This year she faced familial loss , faced backlash by being associated with LuLaRoe, and reopened her quaint bed-and-breakfast in rural Utah. Even though LuLaRoe is facing controversy as an MLM company, she’s remained loyal. Many of her Instagram post captions have various LuLaRoe hashtags.

More recently, Meri’s been seen out and about with a gentleman friend and fans are quick to wonder if she’s finally done with Kody.

Janelle Brown enjoys RV life In June 2021, Janelle Brown’s ranch home in Arizona sold, leaving her to decide quickly between finding another rental home or trying out something she’s always wanted do (plus save money in the process) — live in an RV.

Janelle’s currently living on the Brown property in Flagstaff, but her type of RV living is more luxurious than normal. The mobile home is equipped with a kitchenette featuring a full fridge, a microwave, and an oven — more than some city apartments have!

It also has a full-sized master bed, two living spaces with bunk beds and lounging furniture, and a loft. To beat the Arizona sun, the RV is decked out with two air conditioners. Janelle’s new adventure is definitely a far cry from the rugged conditions of your typical camper.

Her relationship with the rest of the family is a whole another story. In the trailer, she confides, “I'm at my wits end with this whole bulls**t stuff,” referring to the convoluted process of getting everyone on the same page about the Coyote Pass property.

Christine Brown says no to living together In the season 16 trailer, we see Christine tearfully confess, “Why would I want to live on the property with a dysfunctional marriage where right over there he's got a full-functioning marriage?”

She is, of course, comparing her rocky marriage with Kody to Robyn and Kody’s seemingly perfect relationship. It’s no secret that Robyn holds most of Kody’s attention and affection, and at a consequential expense of his other three wives’ relationships.

The current plan is to build and move into the family’s plot of land in Coyote Pass in Flagstaff Arizona, a quick ride away from Kody’s three-bedroom home he nabbed in 2018. Christine, on the other hand, is adamant about moving back to Utah.

Sticking to her guns, in October, 2021, Christine purchased and moved into a home in Utah — a three-bedroom duplex constructed in 2019. For now, Christine is enjoying life away from the family, and it’s unclear whether she’ll join Kody and the three other wives at the Coyote Pass land later on.

Robyn Brown endures fan hate Robyn, Kody’s fourth and most recent wife, is the clear favorite in Kody’s eyes. Unfortunately for her, fans have taken to scapegoating her for all of Kody’s decisions that seem to prioritize her and her children over everyone else in the family.

In the trailer, we hear an exasperated Kody accuse Robyn of wanting to be the head of the family. In Kody’s talking head confessional, he confides that he thinks the other three wives — Meri, Janelle, and Christine — look to Robyn as the head wife and look to her for “approval.”

We see the family read a printed list of COVID-19 rules the family is meant to follow, but we’re not privy to who wrote those just yet. Either way, Robyn is sure to get the villain edit or at the very least, be painted as overly controlling.

Fans are quick to blame her for Kody’s favoritism or any time she doesn’t agree with the other wives. For instance, she refuses to move back to Utah, making sister wife Christine feel betrayed.

It’s no wonder she confesses in the trailer that, “[The pandemic] has made me feel that the foundation that our family was built on is crumbling, I don't know."

Kody Brown still in hopes of keeping family together Throughout the pandemic, Kody has been the only one moving from one house to another. He lives mainly with Robyn in their Arizona home. He’s taken some flak from his other wives and fans for choosing to stay with Robyn the majority of the time, but his move is understandable.

COVID-19 is a relentless, highly infectious disease, plus he and Robyn still have young children together. Nevertheless, it puts Robyn in an awkward position, who must accept face resentment from the other wives.

Sister Wives Complete Guide: Updates, Cast, Seasons

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Sister Wives premiered back on September 26, 2010. TLC believed that it had a brilliant idea for a show that would give insight into how modern-day Mormons who practiced polygamy lived. Sister Wives introduced the Brown family, which consisted of Kody Brown , Meri Brown , Janelle Brown , Christine Brown , and Robyn Brown . The Browns lived in Lehi, Utah, where at the time, polygamy was illegal. The practice has since been changed to an infraction that can be punishable by a $750 fine.

The idea of having multiple marriages was seen as taboo within pop culture, but the Browns tried their best to normalize it. Curious to learn more about the cast of Sister Wives? Not a problem! The Sister Wives guide has everything you need to know below.

Unlike other TLC series, this cast has stayed the same, with the only new additions ever being the addition of children. Season 1 introduced Kody, Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn to fans. It had just been the first three wives for years , with Kody deciding to court a fourth wife coming as a surprise. Kody and Robyn married during the first season.

In the last two years, Kody has lost all but one wife. The father of 18 is currently only legally married to Robyn, and the two still live in Flagstaff, AZ. Christine chose to leave her toxic relationship in November of 2021.

In January 2023, Meri and Janelle revealed that they had also left the patriarch. Janelle had been fighting with Kody over his lack of relationship with their children, while Meri had been ignored for years on end. Kody seemed more broken up about losing Christine than anyone else and has yet to speak out about his separations.

Most recently, Kody acted out a dramatic soliloquy as he stated he had been “knifed in the kidneys.” Even Janelle’s outburst during the last season shocked fans, as she has never been caught yelling at Kody.

The most recent season centered around Christine and Kody’s fallout. Season 17 showed how distraught Kody was at losing his first wife, noting he felt he had failed at being a good husband. The patriarch had always said, “Love should be multiplied, not divided,” however, it was clear he was the cause of the broken marriage. Robyn emerged as the villain due to her constant crying and selfish demands.

The Sister Wives Cast's Most Stunning Transformations

Cast of Sister Wives at an event

In the hit reality series "Sister Wives," the transformations of its now-famous cast have captivated audiences as much as the show itself. The lives of Kody Brown and his four wives, Meri, Christine, Janelle, and Robyn Brown have seen remarkable shifts, with changes both internal and external painting a vivid picture of their journeys. In the midst of recent turmoil within the TLC family, some of the sister wives have chosen to step away from their conventional roles, igniting speculation about others contemplating a similar path.

One notable departure was that of Meri Brown, whose decision to distance herself from her former husband Kody Brown seemed to usher in a newfound sense of positivity. While emotional shifts have taken center stage, the physical transformations of the sister wives have also been striking. The journey of Christine Brown, for instance, has been marked by significant weight loss, a testament to her dedication and resilience. Janelle Brown, on the other hand, embarked on a health-focused quest that not only brought about a newfound sense of confidence but also showcased the power of self-discovery.

As the stars of "Sister Wives" continue to captivate audiences with their unique lives, they also serve as beacons of inspiration for personal growth and transformation. Their stories highlight the power of reinvention and the pursuit of healthier lifestyles. Not only have they reshaped their own lives, but they've also set an example for instilling positive habits in their children, making their journey one of true family-wide transformation.

Christine Brown

Christine Brown has changed a ton since "Sister Wives" viewers were first introduced to the pregnant Utah-based mom who lacked confidence. Since splitting from Kody in November 2021, she's garnered attention for her impressive weight loss journey, one that she attributes to a combination of strategic practices. Alongside engaging in regular exercise and tailoring her diet to her blood type, Christine has been a vocal proponent of the Plexus Slim Hunger Control drink, a dietary supplement she has been promoting on her Instagram account. This product has seemingly played a pivotal role in assisting her with appetite control and blood sugar balance, contributing to her transformation, though we can't factually substantiate those claims.

In the wake of her separation, Christine has openly shared her success story in various Instagram posts, highlighting its positive impact on her weight loss journey. This transformation has become strikingly evident not just in the changes in her body, but in her face in general; her smile and self-assured glow positively shine through.

In October 2022, Christine posted a video to her Instagram in which she promoted the new weight loss supplement, looking happier and better than ever. In the caption she wrote, "My PINK DRINK called Slim Hunger Control has been a game changer in controlling my cravings, suppressing my appetite, and helping me balance my blood sugar so weight loss isn't a struggle! Active & Metaburn also give me that boost of energy and burn that stubborn belly fat!"

Janelle Brown

Janelle Brown has embarked on a transformative weight loss journey herself that has attracted the admiration of her Instagram followers. Along with Christine, the "Sister Wives" star has incorporated the Plexus Slim Hunger Control drink into her regimen and has taken to social media to showcase her remarkable results. Janelle's dedication to her health and well-being is evident not only in her own transformation but also in her collaboration with her daughter, Maddie Brush. Together, they have ventured into the realm of an MLM company selling and advertising Plexus on their website .

In a November 2022 video promoting the product on Instagram , Janelle shared several progress photos and wrote in the caption, "Did you know it takes four weeks for you to notice a change in your body, 8 weeks for your friends to notice, and 12 weeks for the rest of the world. Progress takes time. The time will pass anyway, and coming from someone who has been in your shoes and tried it ALL, this was game changing."

Through sharing her personal experiences, Janelle has not only been transparent about her weight loss journey but has also served as a source of inspiration for others looking to embark on their own paths to healthier lives. As a member of the "Sister Wives" cast, Janelle's journey resonates with fans and her transformation is a testament to the power of combining lifestyle changes with the support of dietary supplements and the encouragement of a supportive community.

Following her split from Kody, Meri Brown has undergone a remarkable transformation that resonates with fans of "Sister Wives," mostly due to the fact that her changes have been in the mental health sphere as well as physical. Her evolution is evident in how happy she appears to be on Instagram, sharing smiling selfies along with messages of inspiration.

In one of her more encouraging posts, Meri wrote , "What we really need to do is learn to dance with the fear. Lean in to the feeling and emotion of fear, because it's only when we face it and embrace it that magic happens." She just so happened to be on a trip to London, proving that she's putting herself out in the world and embracing personal discovery after her split. Almost her entire online presence has shifted toward motivational captions, encouraging her followers to push through fear and live life on their own terms.

Of course, along with her inspirational posts, Meri has gone through some physical transformations as well, including trying out new hairstyles. In July 2023, Meri showed off a new shorter hairstyle that also included a red color. As many women know, changing up your hair shows you're totally ready to make a life change as well. She confidently wrote in the caption , "Spunky definition: Courageous and determined. Fiesty definition: Lively, determined and courageous. Just added a little red to match the definition. I definitely don't hate it." Neither do we!

Over the course of "Sister Wives," Kody Brown's evolution has been both captivating and visible, marked by a series of hairstyle changes that mirror his personal and familial transformations. His journey, spanning 12 years and 200 episodes, is a testament to the show's progression and the toll of life's challenges, including the recent pandemic.

From his initial casual demeanor with straight strawberry blonde hair and a darkened goatee to his more recent rugged, stylish gravitas, Kody's hairstyle changes have mirrored his journey through life's ups and downs. His appearance evolution began around Season 5, with each season showcasing a different facet of his changing self. A notable transformation emerged in Season 11 with his silver sideburns and salt and pepper goatee, coinciding with a period of shifting focus toward his role as a father. In subsequent seasons, Kody ventured into various aesthetics, including a man bun and even a silver ponytail, which seems to reflect his embrace of new experiences and roles, such as that of a grandfather.

Kody's physical evolution is not merely cosmetic; it aligns with the narrative shifts within his family and his personal experiences. From his role as a father to navigating the complexities of a polygamist lifestyle that looks to be coming to an end, his appearance changes offer insight into his emotional journey. As he faces challenges such as multiple wives leaving the family and adjusting to new circumstances, Kody's transformation became a tangible reflection of his resilience and adaptability.

Tony Padron

Tony Padron, who is married to Mykelti Brown of "Sister Wives" and is somewhat of a beloved teddy bear kind of character on the TLC hit, has been on an incredible weight loss journey that is nothing short of inspiring, as he has successfully shed over 100 pounds in a span of just 10 months. Tony's dedication to his transformation was unveiled through photos and a graph chronicling his weight loss progress since September 2022. This remarkable achievement is a testament to his commitment to long-term consistency and sustainable health changes.

Throughout his journey, Tony highlighted the importance of making gradual and lasting dietary adjustments, coupled with regular workout routines and the incorporation of supplements. His focus on achieving and maintaining a healthier lifestyle is underscored by his Notes app diary, which documented his substantial weight reduction from 320 to 226.8 pounds. This incredible transformation not only showcases his dedication, but also serves as an inspiration for those aiming to embark on their own health journeys.

Tony's progress is noteworthy not only for his personal accomplishment, but also within the context of his marriage to Mykelti; the couple has chosen a path different from Mykelti's polygamous upbringing. Their commitment to their family's well-being is evident as they navigate their own path amidst the backdrop of major changes on the Brown side. And, of course, after the pair welcomed their daughter and twin boys into the world, they had the biggest motivation of all to live a healthier lifestyle.

Mykelti Padron

It's not just the "Sister Wives" drama that's been keeping us hooked — have you seen Mykelti Padron's amazing weight loss journey? Alongside her husband Tony Padron, Mykelti has been on a mission to shed those pounds, and she's not holding back on showing off her hard work on Instagram.

After the birth of her twins in 2022, Mykelti, along with her husband, decided it was time to put her health first. And boy, did she make some impressive changes. She became a fitness enthusiast, and the results are truly inspiring. We've watched her go from a new mom to a healthier and more vibrant version of herself, sharing her journey on the 'gram every step of the way. Let's not forget that parenthood is a wild ride, especially with twins in the mix! But Mykelti and Tony are proof that you can achieve your fitness goals while juggling diapers and sleepless nights. Their commitment to long-term results over quick fixes is a refreshing reminder that health is a journey, not a sprint.

In July, Mykelti shared progress photos on her Instagram , telling followers in the caption that her weight loss journey was about lifestyle changes and not simply a quick fix. She wrote, "We've learned it's all about consistency, not focusing on the short-term goal, but the long-term goals. Results like Tony and I have had come with longevity not trying something just for a month or so."

Maddie Brush

You know what they say — the proof is in the pudding when it comes to getting healthy, and "Sister Wives" star Maddie Brush is living proof of that. She's been sharing her incredible weight loss journey on Instagram , and boy, oh boy, is it inspiring. Turns out, Maddie has been on a mission to lose weight, and she's not shy about showing off her progress.

From before-and-after photos to candid moments, she's taking us along on her ride. She's not just doing it for herself; as a mom, she's leading by example and showing her kids what it means to make health a priority. Let's not forget the power of Instagram in this whole journey. It's like her virtual cheerleading squad, with followers rooting for her, leaving comments of awe and encouragement.

Along with her weight loss, Maddie has shared several pictures and videos of her growing family, which includes her 5-year-old son Axel, and her 3-year-old daughter Evie. She welcomed the newest addition in February 2023, a daughter named Josephine. The glow she's received from becoming a mom is absolutely unbeatable.

Mitch Thompson

Aspyn Brown's dashing husband Mitch Thompson is much more low-key than the average "Sister Wives" cast member, but he's clearly still working on himself behind the scenes. While he hasn't been as open about his healthier lifestyle as other members of the Brown family, Mitch has looked noticeably slimmer in Instagram pictures as of late compared to way back in 2017.

Take a look at his recent Instagram snaps , and you'll see the transformation right before your eyes. It's clear that Mitch has put in the hard work, and it's paying off big time. The man is looking notably slimmer, and the confidence is just radiating off him. And can we talk about the dedication it takes to make such a remarkable change? Mitch is showing us that with a bit of determination, some sweat equity, and probably a whole lot of healthy choices, you can totally make those fitness goals your reality.

In April 2022, Mitch participated in his first Muay Thai tournament, where he actually won a match and lost another that was incredibly close. Of course, Aspyn was right by his side to support her man, with the pair appearing in an adorable photo on Mitch's Instagram . In August 2023, Aspyn and Mitch posed for pictures in a vineyard while on a trip to the UK, and Mitch looked completely different compared to just a few years ago.

Robyn Brown

Robyn Brown's journey within the "Sister Wives" family has been one of profound transformation, taking her from the role of a new wife in town to the position of the only wife left in the family. When the TLC hit began, Robyn entered the family as the fourth wife of Kody Brown, joining an already-established polygamist family that included Kody's other wives, Meri, Janelle, and Christine. Over the years, Robyn's role evolved as the dynamics of the family underwent significant changes.

Initially, Kody had reservations, saying on the show per In Touch Weekly , "She looked like a soccer mom. She had a van, three kids, and was divorced. I thought, 'I didn't need a van, a divorced woman, and three kids in my life — that's just trouble.'" Despite facing their share of ups and downs, including issues with jealousy and insecurities, the family navigated through the complexities of their plural marriage.

Robyn's transformation within the family became even more prominent as Kody's relationships with his other wives fell apart. Ultimately, Kody's relationships with his other wives took different paths, leaving Robyn as the last wife standing. The evolution of Robyn's role within the Sister Wives family is a testament to the challenges and changes that can occur in polygamist relationships. Her journey from the "new wife in town" to the "only wife left" showcases the twists and turns that life can take, both in the context of reality television and within the intricate dynamics of plural marriage.

Gwendlyn Brown

In July 2022 Gwendlyn Brown underwent breast reduction surgery in a remarkable journey that she shared to none other than, you guessed it, Instagram. In her post-surgery selfie, she radiated happiness, absolutely glowing with pride after her experience. Unfortunately, her insurance would not cover the surgery, meaning Christine had to fork over $8,000. Of course, that didn't seem to bother her, as she wrote, "I'll always remember bringing you back from the hospital after and you cried because you were so happy! LOVE YOU!" in a supportive comment under the post. Along with the before and after photos, Gwendlyn wrote in the caption , "happy breast reduction anniversary I had the anti-boob surgery done July 11, 2022 so technically yesterday was the anniversary but who's counting?"

She later gave further details about the surgery in a YouTube video, claiming it helped with her self-image and spine health. Despite the five-day recovery period during which she was immobile, Gwendlyn felt the surgery was an excellent decision, liberating her from past experiences of teasing and objectification.

Viewers can catch up with Gwendlyn on Season 18 of "Sister Wives," as she's already made a notable appearance in the trailer. In a particularly poignant moment that is sure to not only intrigue viewers but has them rolling their eyes at Kody's antics once more, Gwendlyn nodded her head in agreement when her brother Garrison Brown, declared, "You know what, Robyn? Have him. We're all grown adults that don't need a father figure anymore."

Here's Where The Cast Of Sister Wives Really Lives Now

The Sister Wives cast smiling

Since the premiere of  "Sister Wives" in 2010, it's safe to say that we've borne witness to many of the changes that have occurred within the Brown family . Kody Brown and his wives, Robyn, Meri, Janelle, and Christine, operate in an unconventional setup, so there were more dramatic moments than we could count. A part of the drama is where the family lived.

In the first season of the show, the polygamous family had a home base set up in Utah, but they uprooted their life and moved to Las Vegas after they had a run-in with the law. At the time, they were under the threat of prosecution for violating Utah's bigamy statute, although most of Kody's wives are only "spiritually" married to him, per InTouch Weekly . However, it didn't seem like Las Vegas was for the long haul as the family moved to Arizona not too long after. "As much as we've loved making our home and memories here in Las Vegas, we are excited to embark on a new adventure in Flagstaff, Arizona!" the Brown family shared in a statement to People . "We are looking forward to cooler temperatures, the mountain air, scenic views, and the slower lifestyle of Flagstaff."

Kody had long wished for his entire family to live under one roof , and he hoped to achieve that in Arizona. However, that appears to be a dream deferred.

The Browns live in separate properties

As of this report, the Brown wives still have separate living spaces. Refusing to live in the same house all while sharing one husband may seem ironic, but Kody Brown's wives have legitimate reasons. For Christine, who left Kody for good in 2021 , it was all about maintaining her privacy while she was married. "For a lot of people, living under one roof makes the most sense because it's one big family," the "Sister Wives" star said on the show (via Cheat Sheet ). "But I can't tell you how good it feels to be in charge of my own domain." Meanwhile, Meri's refusal has to do with the fact that her relationship with Kody is complicated. According to InTouch Weekly , Meri confessed behind the scenes of the show that the distance between her and Kody is "easier for me to avoid" by being in her own space.

Janelle, for her part, decided to move onto an RV to the family's shared land in Arizona — dubbed "Coyote Pass" by the family. It was Kody who didn't want to live with her. "She wanted this RV, so now there's an inclination for me to go, 'Oh there's hot water at Robyn's house. Why am I going to sit here with you and suffer with your choices?'" he stated in a sneak peek of the TLC series shared with  Entertainment Tonight .

Inside the Browns' Coyote Pass plans

Despite his wives vetoing his proposal for all the Browns to live under one roof, Kody Brown has held on to hope that they would eventually agree. In 2020, when he first proposed the idea to Janelle, Christine, Robyn, and Meri, he tweeted that he "felt totally lonely in that presentation." In another tweet , he said that he only wanted it to happen for the sake of his kids. "I'm so emotionally attached to this one home idea," he penned. "It would be wonderful for my children."

The family had managed to buy into Coyote Pass, but eventually, Kody relented and agreed to buy separate lots for each family. But building separate houses is easier said than done. The family initially bought four lots of land. "Now, we're trying to take our four lots [and] reconfigure them into five lots," he said in a "Sister Wives" confessional . "In doing that, we basically have to go through a process of paying off the property, surveying, [and] changing lot lines." Then, the family would be able to build homes on the property.

It will likely still take a while for the Browns to figure out their living situation, but Christine is spared from all the headache. After leaving the plural family for good, People reported that she sold her share of the land to Kody for $10 as a "gift" and moved back to her home state of Utah.

The ‘Sister Wives’ Cast Ranked: From Least to Most Villianized

S ince 2010, reality TV fans have watched the Brown family navigate a plural lifestyle on  Sister Wives .  Over the years, the family has been dismantled. During the most dysfunctional moments, fan favorites emerged. Villians materialized , too. So, which  Sister Wives  cast members are the most beloved and hated, and why?

Christine Brown is a fan-favorite

Many  Sister Wives  fans had a soft spot for Christine Brown from the beginning. She arose as the clear favorite member of the  Sister Wives  cast after season 16. In season 16, Christine came to terms with her unhappy marriage . In season 17, she decided to end her spiritual union with Kody Brown.

Fans cheered on the mother of six as she made a life for herself in Utah and prioritized her well-being over her plural lifestyle. While there have been some bumps along the way, fans of the series largely love that Christine Brown appears to be getting a storybook ending. She is the least villainized member of the  Sister Wives  cast by a large margin.

Janelle Brown’s friendship with Christine Brown has elevated her in the eyes of ‘Sister Wives’ fans

When  Sister Wives  began, each wife seemed to be assigned specific traits. Early on, Janelle positioned herself as the logical, financial mind of the family. That has stayed the same. While Janelle has had some emotionally charged moments in more recent seasons of the show, she still maintains that she’s always been more logical than the other  Sister Wives  cast members.

Her even-keeled attitude, dedication to her children, and friendship with Christine Brown made her the second most-liked member of the  Sister Wives  cast. Janelle’s decision to leave her marriage has also endeared her to fans of the series, although her reluctance to use the term divorce has ensured she won’t be elevated to fans’ absolute favorite.

Meri Brown’s redemption storyline might lead her to pull ahead of her former sister wives

For years, Meri Brown has been lambasted by  Sister Wives  fans for her lack of a backbone. They hated that Meri allowed Kody and Robyn Brown to walk all over her. Things are changing, though.

In season 18 of  Sister Wives , Meri changed direction . She is no longer trying to maintain a relationship with Kody and Robyn and appears to have a deeper understanding of how the duo has fooled her over the years. While Meri’s popularity is still pretty neutral, her position might change if she pens a tell-all book. Season 18 has certainly elevated her in the eyes of some viewers.

Kody Brown, as the Brown family patriarch, is largely hated by fans of the reality TV series

Kody Brown has taken on the role of villain on  Sister Wives . The former polygamist himself has stated that people see him as the “devil.” To be fair, Kody has given viewers plenty of reason to dislike him. The father of 18 abandoned most of his children the moment he stopped getting along with their mothers. He has spoken negatively about his former wives and appeared to take great pleasure in humiliating them on national television.

While Kody is largely hated, he isn’t the most despised member of the Brown family. While Kody is being held accountable for his behavior, many viewers believe he wouldn’t have become so outwardly hostile toward his original three wives without the backing of Robyn Brown.

Robyn Brown remains the most hated member of the ‘Sister Wives’ cast

Robyn Brown was the last wife to join the Brown family. She is also the least-liked member of the  Sister Wives  cast. Robyn joining the Brown family might have helped them garner a reality TV show, but it also threw their plural dynamic into flux. The Browns never regained their equilibrium as a plural unit, and some  Sister Wives  fans believe Robyn Brown helped facilitate that.

‘Sister Wives’: 3 Wild and Bold Predictions About the Brown Family Moving Forward

Over the years, Robyn has been shown manipulating the family. She’s also been seen interjecting herself into all of Kody’s conversations with his other wives. Robyn appeared to ask for more time and energy from him than was possible if he was going to maintain his other relationships. Some argue that Robyn never wanted to live a plural lifestyle. Her tearless crying , how she’s treated the other Brown kids, and her laser focus on her monogamous marriage have not endeared her to fans either.

Robyn is the most villainized  Sister Wives  cast member by a wide margin. While that is always subject to change, season 18 only made Robyn Brown look worse. It seems unlikely that she’ll fare any better in additional seasons.

‘Sister Wives’ Cast’s Salary Is Not as High as You Think: How Much Kody Brown and His Wives Get Paid

Octomom Nadya Suleman Children

The cast of  Sister Wives , including  Kody ,  Meri ,  Christine ,  Janelle  and  Robyn Brown , do not make as large of a salary as you might think for their reality show.  Keep reading to learn how much the TLC stars get paid after 16 seasons .

Is ‘Sister Wives’ Fake or Scripted? The Brown Family Weighs In Amid Speculation

The reality TV family earns about 10 percent of the show’s per-episode budget, according to CheatSheet . TLC reportedly spends around $250,000 to $400,000 on every episode, meaning the Brown family receives about $25,000 to $40,000 to split among them.

'Sister Wives' Cast Salary: How Much Kody, Wives Get Paid

It’s estimated that the family has made somewhere around $3 million in total from filming alone since their series began in 2010, which equates to about $375,000 annually. While that seems like a lot of money, the Brown clan has over 20 members in it and most of Kody’s wives have their own jobs on the side .

That being said, it’s been reported by multiple outlets that the Brown family actually took a pay cut years ago in order to keep their show on the air.

After reportedly receiving low ratings for season 11, TLC allegedly canceled the reality show about the polygamous family, Soap Dirt reported. However, Kody haggled with the network to stay on the air. The  My 4 Wives  alum reportedly even offered to do the show for the price of just one salary. It’s unclear what the final deal ended up being, but  Sister Wives  is still cranking out seasons.

Some fans wonder how such a large family is able to support themselves, specifically because they have lived in very large homes the entire time they’ve been in the public eye.

While Kody has been vague about his employment history, he previously worked as a salesman before finding reality TV fame.

However, he reportedly quit his job in 2010 to focus on building the family’s brand. He has since written a  New York Times  bestselling book.

As for his wives, Meri owns a bed and breakfast called Lizzie’s Heritage Inn in Utah and is an independent LuLaRoe Fashion retailer. Janelle is a certified health coach while Robyn runs their online store, My Sisterwife’s Closet. As for Christine, she launched a legal business, Brown Quest LLC, in May 2020 and also sells products for LuLaRoe.

Deal of the Day

Meanwhile, Janelle and Christine both work with  the brand Plexus . In September 2021, the women explained they partnered with the company that supports weight management and nutrition by using personal care products and dietary supplements. Both Janelle and Christine regularly promote the brand via their social media posts and often pose for photos with the products together.

While Kody and his four wives appear on  Sister Wives, Christine booked her own show,  Cooking with Just Christine , in February after she  announced her split from the Brown patriarch  in November 2021.

Kody and his family also make money as social media influencers and get paid to create Cameo videos for fans.

Garrison Brown 's official cause of death has been confirmed.

According to an autopsy report obtained by ET from the Coconino County Medical Examiner, the 25-year-old son of Janelle and Kody Brown died from a gunshot wound to the head on March 5 at his Flagstaff, Arizona, home . His manner of death has been ruled a suicide.

The report also notes that the Sister Wives star's blood alcohol level (BAL) was as high as .370% and that ethanol intoxication -- aka alcohol poisoning -- is considered a contributing factor in the death.

According to the University of Rochester , a BAL of .3% or greater causes a person to be in a "stupor" and have "little comprehension of where you are." A BAL of .35% or greater "also happens to be the level of surgical anesthesia. You may stop breathing at this point."

Flagstaff Police Department confirmed in a statement to ET back in March that they were dispatched to Garrison's residence and found him dead after being called by his younger brother, Gabriel. Garrison appeared to have suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound, cops shared at the time.

Just hours after Garrison's death was first reported, Janelle and Kody -- who split in 2022 after nearly 30 years of their spiritual marriage -- released a statement confirming the news and sharing their heartbreak over the loss of their third son and fourth child together.

"Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown," the statement read. "He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away."

Kody posted the same message to his own account, tweaking the language to read, "Janelle and I are deeply saddened."

In the two months since, Janelle, 55, has used her social media page to memorialize her son, who would have turned 26 in early April.

Around the time of his birthday, the reality TV star posted a heartbreaking tribute to Garrison, in which the grieving mom of six shared photos and videos of her son on his birthday throughout the years.

"Happy Birthday Sweetheart. We are missing you terribly today. It's hard to believe you aren't here anymore," she wrote in the caption, accompanied by a whistled version of "Happy Birthday."

She continued, "We talked a lot about you today and even went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner (your favorite place 😀)... I still feel you nearby sometimes. And I'm grateful we will see each other again when my journey is completed."

Janelle has also found comfort in her devoted fanbase who have stood by her and offered support through the difficult ordeal. She has reciprocated the love by keeping her followers updated on her healing progress, sharing photos from  Garrison's celebration of life event , showing off the  last family photo with all of her kids  and speaking about how she has  found comfort in her faith .

Back in March, she posted pics from a North Carolina beach where she was staying with her daughter, Maddie, telling fans that she was celebrating Easter by spending some time with her grandkids. Maddie, Janelle's eldest daughter, married Caleb Brush in 2016 and the pair shares kids Axel, 6, Evangalynn, 4, and Josephine, 1.

"Happy Easter everyone!" Janelle captioned the photos. "I have been even more grateful for my faith this year. The remembrance of the Savior and His gift of eternal life."

Sister Wives: "Light My Fire!": Meri's Best Beauty Looks Under Strong Natural Light After Glam Body Transformation

Sister wives: "fix your bio" kody's getting shade at instagram again (will trolls ever leave him alone), sister wives: why kody brown never really loved his four wives.

  • Robyn Brown's credibility is in question due to her deceptive behavior on and off-screen.
  • Despite portraying herself as understanding and compassionate, Robyn's actions suggest she may have had ulterior motives within the Brown family.
  • Robyn's inconsistent behavior makes her seem shady.

Sister Wives star Robyn Brown 's been considered a reality TV villain for years, and some of her shocking quotes tell powerful stories about her inner world . While she couldn't possibly be as bad as she's made out to be (she's not a criminal after all), Robyn isn't innocent. Like most people, she's a mixture of good and bad. She doesn't have a heart of gold, but so few people do. Nonetheless, she gets judged constantly.

Fans are calling out Robyn and Kody Brown after Garrison Brown's tragic death. They seem to blame the couple for his passing, which isn't fair.

Unfortunately, in Sister Wives season 18 , Robyn's hypocrisy was blatant. This didn't help her to shed the villain label. She cried the usual crocodile tears onscreen while secretly wanting monogamy. She feigned misery over the state of the family, but her ultimate goal was to be Kody's one and only . Her transparent pantomime didn't come off well. Robyn isn't trusted and a lot of Sister Wives fans, including a creative Etsy entrepreneur, have stopped believing her.

Robyn's been too deceptive - at this stage of the game, her credibility is shot. Her most shocking quotes underscore this sad fact. People who want to be believed need to tell the truth instead of playing games.

"Open minded people don't care to be right"

Robyn posted this affirmation to pinterest & added: "amen 100 times".

At Pinterest, Robyn played the good girl again. She was as syrupy-sweet as one might expect, but she may have claws that she keeps sheathed. As she talked about the importance of "understanding" in relationships, butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. However, in the real world, Robyn has sowed the seeds of confusion, perhaps with a mind to fraying the Brown family's already fragile fabric.

For example, she likely "understands" why Christine Brown felt so jealous before leaving Kody. Robyn's more than intelligent enough to comprehend the undercurrents that simmered within the "other" wives, including Christine. Robyn's quite a smooth operator - she doesn't get her way by making a lot of noise. Instead, she covertly influences the man who was tasked with the family's decision-making - Kody.

If Robyn had understood Christine's pain, even if she couldn't really feel it, she might have done things differently. She might have stopped sitting next to Kody during every family meeting, as though she had some divine right to be by his side . However, she never changed that obnoxious habit. Robyn talks a good game about "understanding" but her words seem hollow. She didn't use her knowledge to ease the other wives' pain. Instead, she seemed to use it to wound them emotionally.

Now, Robyn has what she wants - a man who is, in many ways, a wreck. He's lost his son, which is horrible. Before that, he was cranky, negative and overly emotional. Kody was somewhat irrational in the latest Sister Wives installment. He seemed to blame everyone but himself (and Robyn) for the family's downfall. Of course, it was crystal clear that the issues stemmed from his favoritism.

Thanks to this stormy drama, someone with a sense of humor decided to create a "Sobbin' Robyn" mug and sell it via Etsy, at their Thereisnostore boutique. See the sassy artisan's masterpiece above. Robyn's tears are salty but there are questions about their authenticity.

Well over 3000 "Sobyn's Tears" mugs have been sold so far.

"There's stretch marks and there's weight gain"

Robyn brown fat-shamed meri, christine & janelle.

Yes, Robyn's petite, but what's inside? Is a woman's beauty all about the number on the bathroom scale? Or is beauty a mysterious blend of personality, looks and character? That is the question, and Robyn's cruel quote about the other wives showed that she may lack inner beauty at times. Perhaps insecurity drove her to lash out at the other women - why else would she be so intense and so mean? If she was wholly unthreatened by them, there would be no need to cut them down. While appearing in a Sister Wives One On One special, Robyn said:

... and there’s like — you're being stagnant in your marriage and there’s fights and money problems or whatever it is ... He still had this romance going with each of them."

With this kind of low conduct, Robyn betrays herself . She surrenders to the worst in herself. Since she always pretended to love the other wives, her comments are particularly jarring. She'd be highly unlikely to say such things, or even think along these lines, if she didn't have an axe to grind. Her fat-shaming remarks seemed like a way to comfort herself, as though she was trying to convince herself that the three other women had no value as human beings. Of course, this isn't true.

"It feels disrespectful to be happy with Kody"

Robyn brown isn't so genuine here.

Robyn's life with Kody isn't perfect , as the clip above shows, but that doesn't mean that she's ashamed of anything. If she was really concerned about being "disrespectful," why would she fat-shame the other women and post shady affirmations on Pinterest? Obviously, she will stoop to such things - she has. So, it's hard to take the quote posted above seriously.

The lack of credibility is an ongoing issue. Robyn says one thing and does another. Her words and actions are in opposition.

Robyn needs to pick a story and keep that story straight . Instead, her "values" shift like desert sands. When the police interrogate suspects, they make them tell their stories over and over again. What they're looking for is inconsistency. Unfortunately, when it comes to Robyn's words and actions, inconsistency is a given.

If Robyn's happy with Kody, the Sister Wives star should just be honest about it. She loves her husband - that's nothing to be ashamed of. She wants him all to herself - also fully understandable. When Robyn tries to cloak her real motivations, although her quotes expose them, she harms her reputation. She is not who she pretended to be and nothing can change it. Robyn needs to be who she really is.
