Has anyone dealt with or heard the Thesis line of amplifiers from Audison? I've been flirting with the idea of running the Uno but wanted to seek out some critical listening experience from those of us whom have run across this line. I'm familiar with the AV line and found it to be a pretty cool amplifier (AV5.1k non digital version) as I ran one 5+ years ago now but it wasn't a fan of what I was asking it to do...or some operator error was involved and I didn't get to experience it at full capacity..nevertheless I did not walk away from the experience with a bad taste in my mouth. In an effort to avoid going down the path of back and forth about class AB vs. D argument seeing that there is still a running thread on the subject, we'll simply say that I have my reasons for seeking out this class of amp for subwoofer duty and leave it right there. I'm essentially running it against the idea of a Zero 1 and its seemingly out of this world damping factor rating (>6000) vs. what the TH Uno is speaking to (500 @ 4 ohms). The pros and cons list I've tried to come up with leaves the amps in pretty close contention with the Zero 1 leading in the aforementioned rating but the Audison being a smaller package to have to negotiate mounting in the trunk. They both will likely require some form of ventilation given my last experience with my Zero 3 but I'm still working out how I can potentially circumvent that issue. The Audison has something that I find awesome given what I'm trying to do with my 6 channel situation and DSP situation where it accepts optical in where the Helix i'm looking at offers optical out, so that's very promising. With all of that....I'm definitely seeking out testimony and discourse around this topic.  

I do not have experience with them but have a lightly used Uno, Due & Quattro Amps, I was going to be listing for sale, if interested... I do know they are big, heavy and cool looking....  

wow, the Zero must be quite large if it makes the Audison an easier fit. I power my four woofers (TH Sax and Focal 8WM) with the Audison TH Quattro, and it is a gem.

I definitely appreciate this feedback....that's what I need to know. I'm mostly worried about how well it controls the subs over anything else. I can get power anywhere you know? Thank you again.  

Ha....nah I'm not that crazy nor that wealthy. I'll take another hard look at those C Ones though.

Thesis amplifiers are born with the know-how and experience achieved with the HV venti, improved by the innovation of digital technology. The result is a perfect combination between the highest level of analog technology and the advanced features of the digital technology in one unique product. The precious synergy with Full DA HD technology takes the in-car listening experience to a new level of excellence; the synthesis of a unique know-how employed in mobile audio reproduction. TH uno is a single channel (mono) amplifier used to achieve maximum performance under any load; capable of delivering up to 2300 W into 1 Ohm and 200 W in the audiophile A Class mode. Specifically designed to drive systems and subwoofers with self-assured mastery.

Pure digital signal transfer with a resolution up to 24 bit / 96 kHz

Innovation is at the heart of the state-of-the-art digital decoding section. The S/PDIF optical input allows direct connection to digital sources with the ability to re-launch the digital signal to other Thesis amplifiers through the AD Link (Audison DigitalLink) system. Each amplifier features 192 kHz/24 bit PCM D/A conversion through a very high quality converter.

Provides the selection of four possible presets: Energy Saving, Hi-Current, Hi-AB Class and full A Class operation.

Inherited from the HV venti and making the most of TH’s extreme versatility, the complete crossover circuit of the TH amplifier is removable; a high-end sound quality solution.

Four Synchro-PWM power supplies allow for a very fast transient current response and to create a Dual Mono configuration.
