My local dealer/installer is all about Audison/ Hertz. And I am well aware of their quality. When I upgrade my full range sometime in the future I am sure he will try to push it on me. It seems even Audison's entry level products are still quite pricey. Just wondering if it is really worth the money. I just bought the Audison Bit Ten DSP from him but have not had it installed yet, waiting for my subs and box to arrive. Click to read more...

Depends on what your comparing to.

Depends on what equipment you're looking at as well. You also have to consider that Hertz is mostly only sold through local dealers and is usually a lot more expensive than online shopping. But, I personally don't feel their comps are worth the price except for the Mille. Their subs are decent, but I wouldnt buy one new. As far as their amps, unless I find a good deal on one, I'll never own one. Just cant justify the price on their stuff. Pretty nice stuff just pricey. Same way I see JL Audio, very nice stuff but, only things, off the top of my head, that I could see myself buying new (online prices) are the C2 Comps and the w6v2 subs.

I believe it comes down to personal preference. If your goal is to run a gazillion watts to a couple of 18's to make some noise, Audison is probably not for you. If you are looking for good SQ for a front stage consisting of quality drivers, then its probably worth a look. I have personally never owned one. However, if I were in that market, I would look at the overall package. Talk to some that have owned them. How did they like them? How was their service? What's their longevity like? The amplifier brand that I'm partial to has great SQ, awesome service, and exceptional longevity. I'm always willing to pay more for the entire package. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

For the average guy, Audison is not for them. It would be a waste of money. You would be better served putting the extra money into a great install, and lesser gear. You can have a million dollar system, in a $20 install and sound like crap, or you can have $20 equipment in a great install and sound like gold.

having owned LOTSX of different speaker sets. i'll take my MLK 3 set over pretty much any of the internet brands //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and the HSKxl setup i would take those as well over all the internet brands Amps, ypu the same story, i prefer a nice quality amplifier thats based on a sound engineers design rather then an amp that some guy got in a catalog picked parts ordered 100 started a preorder because he never had the money in the first place to order the amps and then sell them as some facinating amp. I'm not picking on one company thats just pretty much a cookie cutter of the majority of the popular internet amps out there.

Test Drive Review: Audison SR 5.600 Five-Channel Car Audio Amplifier

January 17, 2022 By Dave MacKinnon

Audison SR 5.600

While it’s fun to play with flagship products like Audison Thesis amplifiers and speakers, the reality is that there’s a lot more business done at the opposite end of the financial spectrum. The latest generation of the SR line from Audison gives car audio enthusiasts an affordable upgrade option that is laden with the features found in much more expensive solutions. For this Test Drive Review, I have one of the new SR 5.600 five-channel amplifiers on my bench. Let’s check it out!

Audison SR 5.600 Five-Channel Amplifier Design

The SR 5.600 is based on a powder-coated aluminum extrusion and features custom tooled cast-aluminum end caps. The rear edge of the amp has shallow fins that extend around the sides into the end cap design. Audison puts the main extrusion through a secondary milling process to add an LED and control panel access to the amp’s top. The controls are concealed by an aluminum cover with a black hairline finish. The Audison logo is engraved into this cover, and it’s held in place by a pair of flat head screws. The amplifier measures 11.57 by 6.1 inches and stands 1.87 inches tall. This chassis is small enough to fit under the seat of most vehicles. The amplifier can be mounted using the provided Philips-head hardware through holes in the end caps we mentioned earlier. A pair of 25-amp ATC-style automotive fuses are recessed into the left-side end cap.

Peering under the removable top cover reveals the configuration switches and controls for the amp. The controls are grouped into adjustments for the front, rear and subwoofer channels. Starting at the top left of the controls, an Amp Mode switch allows your installer to select between three- and five-channel operations. In the five-channel mode, the four main channels work in stereo pairs. When switched to the three-channel mode, the front pair of channels can be used in a bridged configuration to power a single left speaker and the rear channels are can be bridged for a right speaker. A signal flow diagram on page 65 of the owner’s manual will help your installer understand the signal path.

Each set of channels has a dedicated stereo input level control that’s adjustable from 0.2 to 5 volts RMS in low-input mode and 0.8 to 20 volts when the provided speaker-level input plugs are in use. The front channels have a button that selects between full-range and high-pass filtering. The filter adjustment is labeled as being adjustable between 50 and 500 Hz and uses a second-order -12 dB/octave filter slope. An x10 switch is available to change the range of the crossover frequencies to 500 Hz to 5 kHz if you want to use the front channels to run a tweeter or a small coaxial driver.

For the rear channels, your installer can use the dedicated pre-amp or speaker level inputs or press the Input switch, and the amp will route the left and right signals from the front channels to the corresponding rear channels. In terms of crossovers, a three-position switch allows for full-range, high-pass or bandpass filtering. The provided control allows for adjustability between 50 and 500 hertz in high-pass mode. When set to Band, the crossover setting on the front channels acts as a low-pass filter, and the rear channel crossover control setting determines the high-pass frequency. This configuration is ideal for using a midrange speaker or midbass driver to create a three-way actively filtered system.

Audison SR 5.600

The subwoofer channel includes another 50 to 500 Hz crossover adjustment. A button labelled Subsonic enables a 25 Hz, -24 dB/octave infrasonic filter. A bass boost control allows your installer to dial in up to 12 dB boost at 50 Hz. Finally, the input on/off control selects between the dedicated sub pre-amp or speaker level inputs and the option of sourcing the audio signal from the front channel input connections.

The last control on the top of the amp is ART, which stands for Automatic Remote Turn-on/off. When enabled, the amplifier will turn itself on automatically when it detects that the factory radio connected to the speaker level inputs has been turned on. In addition, Audison includes a remote turn-on output connection, so the amp can turn on a second device once it detects a signal. Continuing on the factory radio integration features, it’s worth noting that Audison includes their Universal Speaker Simulator technology in the amp. This feature presents the source unit connected to the speaker-level inputs with a simulated load. These loads are required for some factory radios to function correctly. It’s also a necessity for most factory-installed Class D amplifiers.

Audison SR 5.600

System Amplifier Connections

The front edge of the amp is home to two terminal blocks, six RCA jacks, four Molex connectors and a 1/8-inch jack. The power connection block on the far left of the amp has two terminals with a diameter of 0.217 inch and can accept 6- or 8-AWG power cables. Angled set screws with hex heads hold the wire securely once tightened. The 10-position speaker terminal block uses similar angled screws, and the terminals have a diameter of 0.158 millimeter to accept up to 12-AWG cables.

A two-position Molex connector beside the power terminal handles remote turn-on input and output connections. There are four four-position Molex connectors to the right of the centrally-located RCA jacks for the speaker level inputs. The 1/8-inch jack on the far right is for the optional VCR-S1 remote level control. The control provides -20 to +6 dB adjustment over the subwoofer output level when connected. The driver can fine-tune the bass to their music preference, listening style or mood.

Removing the bottom panel reveals a very organized circuit board that’s securely attached to what would be the front of the amp chassis. The control buttons and switches are on a pair of daughterboards that connect to the mainboard with gold-plated pins. These connections are rock solid and show no potential vibration issues. There’s a small cap and choke on the power input connection and a large multi-tap transformer in the corner of the amp. In terms of power supply filtering and energy storage, there’s a pair of 3,300 microfarad, 50-volt caps on the inputs and two larger 2,200 microfarad, 80-volt caps on the outputs. All are rated for 221 degrees F (105 degrees C).

All the components on the mainboard are surface-mount devices, showing that this is a modern design. The amp uses a combination of through-hole and surface-mount output switching devices. The inductors for the full-range channels are shielded, and those shields are secured to the board with black adhesive. Overall, everything looks great, modern and well thought-out. The fit and finish are immaculate, and the amplifier feels solid and well-constructed.

Audison SR 5.600

Specifications and Ratings

Audison rates the SR 5.600 to produce 75 watts per channel from the four main outputs and 330 watts from the subwoofer channel when connected to 4-ohm speakers. With 2-ohm loads, the power output increases to four by 115 watts and 550 watts, respectively. The main channels are rated to produce 230 watts of power when bridged to 4-ohm speakers.

Distortion is listed as being 0.02% at 1 kHz, and 70% rated power into a 4-ohm load. The signal-to-noise ratio is listed as 105 dBA with 1 volt of input. We assume that measurement was provided with the sensitivity controls set at their lowest levels and the amplifier producing full power. We’ll check the ANSI/CTA-2006-C compliant numbers once we get the amp on the test bench. Frequency response is listed as 10 to 35 kHz for the main channels and 10 to 500 Hz for the subwoofer channel.

Idle current when on is listed at 2.2 amps, and dark current at 40 microamps. Notably, the operating voltage is specified as being 6.5 to 17 volts. The lower voltage is crucial for vehicles with stop-start technology , and the high 17-volt spec is vital to some of the new Chevrolet trucks that charge at over 16 volts. Kudos to Audison for taking all of these electrical system challenges into consideration. This isn’t something you see on many amplifiers at any price!

Bench Testing the Audison SR 5.600 System Amplifier

The first test is to measure frequency response. Next, I measured the output of the amp, referenced to 2.0 Vrms using my QuantAsylum QA402 Audio Analyzer. The red trace shows the 4-ohm response, and the magenta trace is the 2-ohm response. The black trace shows the amp’s response into our simulated reactive speaker load. This circuit mimics the test used in Stereophile magazine and shows how complex crossovers can alter the response of an amplifier. Next, I repeated the tests for the subwoofer channel.

Audison SR 5.600

There is some high-frequency roll-off on the top end when loaded to 2 ohms. At 20 kHz, the output was down just over 2 dB. Since few of us can hear much over 15 kHz, this isn’t an issue. The peak at about 55 kHz on the full-range channels is typical for a Class D amplifier and is part of the output filter network.

Next, it was time to check the amp for noise and distortion. I started by evaluating the harmonic content of a 1 kHz tone using the QA402 analyzer. Next, I did the same for the subwoofer channel using a 60 Hz stimulus.

Audison SR 5.600

The distortion and noise measurements are pretty impressive for a Class D amplifier. Clearly, the lads in Italy have put significant effort into the design of this product. I have listed the frequency response as capable of exceeding 20 kHz since the resonance of the Class D filter makes it hard to identify a specific -3 dB point.

The subsequent measurements show how the crossovers and bass boost controls affect the main and subwoofer channels.

Audison SR 5.600

I always take power measurements last. Full disclosure: I do my listening before I measure anything. That way, what I hear isn’t tainted by something I may have seen in a measurement. Also, there’s a much higher chance of an amp being damaged while being measured.

Power measurements are taken at 2- and 4-ohm loads with all channels driven to 1% THD+N. Driving all channels to full power simultaneously makes this a VERY difficult test.

My power supply bank isn’t variable, but it does have a high and low setting, so I repeat the measurements at low and high levels to evaluate power supply regulation. The results are in the chart below. Though a few numbers are a little shy of spec, the limiting factor with this amplifier is current delivery. You’re unlikely to ever run into a situation where you need full power from all channels for more than a few milliseconds. This is an amplifier for people who listen to music, not those who compete in SPL contests.

While testing power, I also measured the current draw and voltage at the amplifier terminals. This amp has a very efficient design. Given the small footprint, not wasting energy as heat is crucial. At ~80% efficiency when driving 4-ohm speakers on the front channels and a 2-ohm subwoofer, this amp ranks among the market’s better options. The maximum current draw was 74 amps (all channels at full power into 2-ohm loads), which dramatically exceeds the capabilities of the included 50 amps’ worth of fusing. Stick to music, and you’ll be fine.

Audison SR 5.600

Amplifier Listening Evaluation

I swapped the SR 5.600 into the reference system in our listening room and queued up a selection of tracks to check it out. It should be noted that our reference equipment comprises truly audiophile-grade components. As such, it’s interesting to hear how a much more affordable solution will sound. I ran the amp with the front speaker outputs powering my Polk Audio bookshelf-style speakers and the subwoofer channel connected to our reference 12-inch 4-ohm subwoofer.

First, I played “Solar Power” by Lorde from her new album, Solar Power. The first thing that struck me was the impressive imaging characteristics of the SR 5.600. At the nine-second mark, the voices behind Lorde were rendered with excellent clarity and definition. Overall, the tonal balance was slightly more forward in the upper midrange than our reference amplifiers. Letters like P and B were emphasized somewhat but not to the point of exaggeration.

Next, I listened to “Choctaw Hayride” by Alison Krauss and Union Station. Again, the banjos, guitars, violin and upright bass were very well defined in their positions with no blurring or fuzziness.

Norah Jones’ “Don’t Know Why” was next. This track is very challenging for any system. The combination of the Audison SR 5.600 and my speakers was very good. Norah’s voice was a little more ethereal and airy than usual, but it wasn’t to the point of being sibilant or bright.

Switching gears into overdrive, I cued up “Put On” by Young Jeezy and “7 Rings” by Ariana Grande. On both tracks, the bass lines had good definition. It wasn’t just boom. The bass had a clear sense of musicality, clearly revealing different notes being played simultaneously. Though there wasn’t as much impact as a massive Class AB amp would provide, I’m never concerned when an affordable product doesn’t equal a solution that costs five to 10 times as much. There has to be a benefit to high-end solutions, and that’s why Audison has the Voce and Thesis products.

The last test was to turn the system on and off a few times to check for unwanted noises. Again, the SR 5.600 amplifier behaved perfectly. No pops, clicks or thumps were produced when it was powered up or shut down.

Conclusions on the Audison SR 5.600 Five-Channel Car Audio Amplifier

Audison has put together an impressive package with the SR 5.600. Its compact size allows it to fit under the seat of most vehicles, or your installer can conceal it under the floor of a trunk or cargo area. The feature set is thorough and complete, and the build quality is world-class. Even though it fell a little short in a few power measurements, it offers more than enough power to reproduce your music at impressive volume levels. Sonically, this is a very good Class D amplifier , and the imaging and staging performance punched well above its price point. The integration features simplify the OEM stereo upgrade process and save you money not buying line-output converters to make the system work. I’d have no problem recommending this amp for someone wanting a single-chassis solution to power an entire audio system.

BEYOND THE ABSOLUTE

Thesis speakers.

Transparency, a direct inheritance of the HV venti, is the principle that inspired the creation of Thesis speakers, born with the ambitious goal of giving voice to the pure musical message of Thesis electronics. The search for the best acoustic result was based on overcoming the intrinsic limits of traditional loudspeakers. Through a finite element simulation software (FEM) conceived by the Audison R&D team, a mathematical model was developed, which they used to create, with an intense prototyping activity, the ideal transducer.

Audison AV 5.1k Review. Is Flagship Worth the Money?

Audison Voce 5.1K

We all want to have installed the best amplifier in our cars, but top-class like the Audison Voce AV 5.1K, are quite expensive.

Is this Audison 5-channel amplifier worth the price of over $1,600? Let’s find out.

The Audison AV 5.1k is the top model among the five-channel amplifiers on the market and is definitely worth its price. Like all other Audison products, this large amplifier, which barely fits in the smaller trunks, was designed and built with the utmost attention to detail. More importantly, it produces incredibly precise sounds from all five channels.

I had the pleasure of listening to the music it produced, so let’s take a closer look at Audison Voce AV5.1K in the article below. (link to Amazon opens in the new window)

Is Audison a Good Brand?

Over the years of producing the highest quality car audio equipment, Audison has gained the reputation of the Hi-End brand, which designs and builds high-quality car amplifiers using the best-known technologies.

Thanks to the quality and advanced engineering shown in all products, Audison has received many prestigious awards that confirm the highest class of this brand. Although Audison products are expensive, their high quality and excellent performance quickly offset the higher price you have to pay.

Audison Voce 5.1k review

In the case of Voce AV5.1K, it is no different. Its quality and reliability are exceptional, and even when I compare it with other high-class amplifiers that I had a chance to listen to, they are not as good as AV5.1K.

Audison AV 5.1k Features

I have heard many opinions with which I fully agree, that Audison Voce AV 5.1k is more than an amplifier. And it is true because these are actually two amplifiers built-in together:

  • A/B class 4 channel for the speakers,
  • D class for the subwoofer .

Thanks to the use of two interchangeable modules allowing for either analog or digital connection, you can adapt its functionality to your system’s individual needs. You will not find this feature in other brands.

The digital connection enables the full use of a system that consists of a top-class head unit, sound processor , and amplifier, without signal distortion and energy loss.

Thanks to AV (Authentic Voice) technology that comes from the previous Thesis series amplifiers, Voce AV 5.1k provides sound quality that is unattainable for most car amplifiers.

If you compare this amplifier to the car models, I dare to say without a shadow of a doubt that this is a Bugatti.

The five-channel Audison is distinguished not only by interchangeable modules but also by unusual power distribution, thanks to which it can be used to power a complete car audio system. To ensure the best sound quality, the front channels are designed to work only with 4-ohm loads, while the rear channels can drive either 2- or 4-ohm loads.

The table below shows the power distribution between the channels at different loads:

Although in our car we had AV 5.1K powering speakers in all four doors and to the subwoofer, you can use all 5 channels to power a 2-way system and a subwoofer:

  • Channels A – 4 Ohm tweeters
  • Channels B – Mid-range woofers, either 100 – 120W at 4 Ohm, or 200W at 2 Ohm
  • Channels C – 2 Ohm subwoofer

When looking at the amplifier, there is nothing unusual in its shape, well except for its beautiful design. On one side of the amp, there are inputs with available high-level and RCA connections. There is even a method of obtaining an RCA level output signal from high-level inputs by using a built-in high to low-level converter.

After opening the top cover, you see an interior packed with the highest quality components, including large transistors. Eight of them are just for C channels to power the subwoofer.

The four small channels A and B have two power transistors per channel, but they are different. Transistors for Channels B are 2 Ohm stable and more powerful than 4 Ohm for channels A.

The amplifier can be configured to turn on using a traditional 12 V trigger signal or using an audio signal. This is useful for cars that do not have a standard trigger output.

At the opposite end of the amplifier, you will find all power and speaker terminals made for wires gauge four and eight. With power AV 5.1K produces, you do not want to use any thinner wires. The second B + terminal is for connecting an external capacitor that is also needed.

When you want to control the Vive remotely, there is also a combination of optional VCRA subwoofer volume control and 12 V trigger input and output.

Audison Voce 5.1k inside

On the top of the amplifier, you see two removable acrylic panels. Under one is the main fuse, a 100A mini-ANL, and under the second panel, there are crossover controls that offer advanced settings.

There are two options to configure front channels, in either full range or high pass mode, with a frequency range from 50 Hz to 5 kHz. Rear channels have full range, high pass, or bandwidth settings.

The high-pass filter has a frequency range from 50 Hz to 1kHz, while the low-pass is adjustable from 250 Hz to 5 kHz. Front and rear switches use a slope of -12 dB per octave.

The subwoofer crossover you can set between 50Hz and 150Hz , and adjust up to -24 dB per octave. Adjusting the subwoofer channel to full range allows to power up tones up to 1.5 kHz.

Several other things set apart AV5.1K from other five-channel amplifiers:

  • Way the front channels are biased for maximum fidelity
  • The way the amplifier management processor (AMP) continually monitors the operating status of the amplifier and communicates this state to the user through four different colored LEDs

However, that what makes this amplifier notably different from other models is its ability to transform from a typical analog input amplifier to a fully digital input amplifier.

The benefits of using digital signal transmission between components in a car are considerable:

  • First of all, sending a stream of data bits eliminates the possibility of problems with radiated noise entering the signal cables, which is the main reason for many people to complain.
  • Secondly, the digital signal ensures an optimal signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range in the audio signal. That difference can be easily heard by everyone that pays attention to the sound quality.

If you want to use the AV5.1K in digital mode only, remove the two screws, remove the analog input module, and replace it with the digital AV bit IN module. The change is straightforward and takes no more than a few minutes. AV bit IN module costs over $170 but is worth this price.

To power the fully digital AV bit IN module, you need a Bit Bit One or Bit Ten D processor. The configuration of channels is simple and takes only a few seconds to complete. The digital audio bus can carry signals for up to eight channels.

Audison AV 5.1k Listening Experience

First, we started listening to the amplifier in analog mode, and like any other Audison product I have ever heard, I am not disappointed. The amplifier sounds are perfect, with excellent details in the upper part and a fantastic stereo image. I have to add that I am not using any low-quality compressed music files, like mp3 or others. Amplifier received signal from a CD player

Regardless of the music type I listen to, I am delighted with the sound produced by the AV5.1K. The power level that comes to the subwoofer is excellent, and thanks to precisely set pass filters, I can hear what I want to hear without any unnecessary “boomy” sounds.

Because four channels in this amplifier work in class A/B, therefore it consumes a lot of energy, even at the low volume. When I measured amperage, I saw a stable consumption of 60A. Although Voce has a small ventilation area only on the bottom side, I did not notice heat coming out, which means Audison did an excellent job developing a cooling system.

This amplifier, however, consumes a lot of power. When I tested it without using the rear channels, I saw a stable consumption of 60A of current without going over a quarter of the volume.

Next, we switched to the digital mode. After changing the module to the AV bit IN, I was able to hear the real benefits and power of the AV 5.1K. The difference I noticed immediately, the same music but with much better depth and realism. Overall, listening to music was a pure pleasure.

When you have installed the AV bit IN module, you can switch between digital and analog input. Although I noticed a drop in dynamics after a switch to analog mode, the overall experience was still better than with the previously installed analog module.

Audison made a fantastic amplifier, which is definitely the way to go if you listen to music from a digital source. With such sound quality, a $170 for AV bit IN module seems like a Bargain Of The Century.

Audison Voce Final Comments

If you are serious about sound quality in your car and don’t mind spending extra money on a quality product that will undoubtedly provide many years of enjoyment, the Audison AV5.1K together with AV bit IN module should be added to your to-do list of equipment.

Total costs for an amplifier and digital module will be over $1800, but If I had spare money and was about to purchase an amplifier today, Audison AV5.1K is the one I’d take.

I strongly suggest using top-quality pure copper OFC wires to maximize the performance and enjoyment of this amplifier. Also, Audison added the terminal for the external capacitor for a reason, so if you want to experience all advantages of this fantastic amplifier, you should seriously consider installing a 2F capacitor.

audison thesis speakers review

At the end of November we (two families from Bangalore and Mangalore

2 gents/3 ladies/3 girls/1 boy) decided on a December end vacation

to Ajantha/Ellora. Knowing year-end travel rush, first thing I did

was to book the Bangalore-Pune-BLR flights for 25th/28th giving us

roughly 3.5 days. On 28th our return flight was at 4pm to Bangalore.

Following a friend's recommendation, we decided to go with Prasanna

Purple tour operator from Pune ( http://prasannapurple.com/ )

A look at this companys website will raise your expectation about

professional service, quality, and timeliness. And looks can be

deceiving !

On 8th December I called their number in Pune and I was handed

off to one Mr.Sanjay Naik, the trip planning guy. Looking at his

whatsapp profile photo he looks a very senior person.

The initial interaction (through phone/whatsapp/email) was

quite hice. Same day Sanja Naik sent an itinerary (email 8th dec)

Day 1: Nashik

Day 2: Ellora / Aurangabad

Day 3: Ajantha

Day 4: return to Pune

And quoted Rs.10,500 per person with AC transport and AC delux

hotel rooms

However we wanted to spend more time at ajantha/ellora and visit

shirdi. Therefore we suggested the following itinerary

Day 1 - Shani Signapur/Shirdi (monday)

Day 2 - Ajantha (tuesday)

Day 3 - Ellora (wednesday)

Day 4 - Nashik (thriambakeshwar), proceed to Pune airport

Sanjay Naik quoted Rs.11,300 per person for this itinerary.

We agreed without any negotiation. You see, we were looking for a

hassle-free vacation.

On 11th made an advance payment of Rs.10000 and from that point

onwards things started going haywire. I had to repeatedly call

Sanjay Naik and purple office for a confirmation and receipt.

While the advance payment confirmation came on 18th , receipt

Finally just few hours before our flight Sanjay Naik sent me

a 'travel voucher' (pdf). This was so shoddy it was unbelievable,

First it showed 9 people and then it mentioned some North Goa/

South Goa sight seeing, amount shown was for 9 persons and 5% GST.

Voucher had no serial number, no GST registration..

More calls to Sanjay Naik. His main concern was how and when we

make the full payment. We made an online payment of Rs.44,920

and told him that remaining 40K will pay in cash at the

Pune airport.

The pain started right from the Pune airport and the prasanna

purple showed their true colors....

- At the airport we were met by Mr.Krishna who collected the 40k

cash (no receipt) and were introduced to one Vishnu Gaikwad,

tour co-ordinator and Vittal the driver. Both of them were to

  accompany us during the trip.

- the vehicle (11-seater TT) made a loud whining/creaking sound

from seats. When complained to Sanjay Naik said TT is a new

vehicle and ignored my complaint. Vishnu said he will repair

when stopped for breakfast. No reapirs done/noise remained.

- For the breakfast Vishnu purchased one idli/one wada/one tea per

person and promptly vanished !! Had to call Sanjay Naik to

inform him that we are feeding ourselves...Sanjay asked us to

submit the bills !! No explanation for the weird behavior

  from Vishnu.

- At Shirdi the hotel was Sai Palance, and Purple had booked

two AC rooms and two non-ac rooms !!! No explanation for this.

Hotel staff gave me the emails from Purple asking the hotel

to first book 4 non-ac rooms, and then changing to 2 ac

  and 2 non-ac rooms.

- Bigger drama started regarding the next day itinerary. Vishuy

said they are going to nashik because that is what the company

told him. When I called Sanjay he says "we should have

confirmed the itinerary modifications in writing".

Which is what I had done on the email dated 9th and he had

  confirmed it !!!!

Finally at 2am in the night we are told that they will use the

revised itinerary. This decision from Purple upset the

Vishnu/Vittala to a great extent and it showed till the last

  day.

Just think for a momemnt: is this the way to enjoy a vacation ???

- We start at 6am from Shirdi to Aurangabad and then to

Ajantha. We were promised of a breakfast on the way. We didn't

even have the mornng tea because we wanted to reach ajantha asap.

Believe it or not, our breakfast was at 10.30am in a dirty

hotel on the way after Aurangabad. When we asked Vishnu why we

did not go into city for a decent hotel/breakfast his respone

was there will be traffic. But we soon found out.

Vishnu skirted the city because near the army campus, he boarded

his wife and daughter into our TT for a free one day vacation.

We didn't complain because there were two empty seats at the end,

but what really upset us was that from that point onwards his

  priorities were different !!!

He suggested that we should do aurangabad sight seeing that day

itself when we had just reached ajantha at 12pm in the

  afternoon.

- After the breakfast, we noticed that the TT was just crawling on

the road, and when we enquired, the driver shouts "You drive the

vehicle.." jumps out of the vehicle and slams the door.

  More calls to Sanjay Naik..

- But when drove back to aurangabad from ajantha in the evening,

  there was no problem

- Day was mostly uneventful, we had great time at Ellora followed

by a visit to Daulathabad fort.

- Morning after the breakfast at the hotel, Vishnu made us pay

for the four tea we had at yesterday dinner. Nice touch !

- the real horror show started

- we started at 8am from the nashik, wento to thriambakeswar.

By 10am we were on our way to Pune airport. We had told Sanjay

/Vishnu repeatedly that we had to reach the airport latest

by 3pm. Our flight was at 4pm.

- On the way at around 12pm the vittal driver skips the

first RTO nakabandi (checkpost) , but he was caught in the

second one about 45 minutes later. Both the driver and Vishnu

were seen pleading with the RTO inspector and the inspector

  smiling...

- On the way the traffic was normal, road changing from 4-lanes

to 2-lanes few times and as we neared Chakan there were signal

stops. Time was already 2.30pm and yet there was no urgency

  no concern from Vishnu

- You see, when you are running late to the airport, that is the

right time to fill diesel to your vehicle. Vishnu and the driver

  do just that.

They don't put just the needed amount to reach airport, they

decide to fill the whole quanity, shaking the vehicle to take

more diesel. When we question why, they say it is company

  policy, they can't do anything.

- It is 3pm , we are in the Bhosari signal on the highway, we

desperately call Sanjay, he takes my phone and shouts at

Vishnu and the driver to go by the Alandi road to the airport.

Guess what our friends do ??

They start searching for the Alandi road... repeatedly stopping

the vehicle and asking the bystanders. Is this believable ?

I don't think there is any suspense left in this drama,

we reached the airport at 3.40pm, SpiceJet manager said sorry,

  doors are closed.

We came out and called Sanjay. His response was the icing on the

cake "It is not my fault you missed the flight. I know you

have to reach Bangalore but that is your problem, because you

booked your own flights." Bugger didn't even say good bye, :-)

And we had not eaten anything since the 8am breakfast in Nashik !!

Finally we booked Ola cabs, went to the city, booked volvo busses

and left to bangalore at 6pm-7pm.

Vacations are supposed to be memorable, but when you are in the

company of organization like Prasanna Purple, it is for an entirely

  different reason.

Till today there has been no receipt for the Rs.94,920

we had paid in spite of repeated reminders. No attempt to

find out what had happened ..

You really have to be a trusting customer to discover the

gross incompetence, purple lies and crass behavior of their

' class=

very pathetic

This is truly awful experience for a family. My sympathies.

Isn't there a way to take these people to task for such an atrocious service ?

I am also thinking of touring in the same region, and now one more tour operator to avoid...

True, I usually do that way . But in this case there was a strong recommendation from our travelling partner to use a tour operator so that we do not waste time as we have a bigger group and tour days were constrained. We are now thinking how to recover the lapsed air fares and the additional bus fares of around 12K. Any ideas ?
