PhD Nedir? Doktora Derecesi Nasıl Alınır?

PhD’nin tarihi ile başlayalım

Eğitimin evrildiği 19. yüzyıl dönemlerinde Almanya’nın modern araştırma üniversitesi tarafından bir derece olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Yüksek lisans eğitiminden sonra gereken yeterlilik sağlanırsa öğrenciler en yüksek akademik rütbe olan doktora derecesini almaya aday olabileceklerdir.

PHD, yani yabancı ismiyle Doctor of Philosophy , doktora derecesi olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Eski Yunancaya göre Felsefe Doktoru olarak olarak çevirilmektedir. Lisans programlarını ve yüksek lisans eğitminin derecesini başarıyla elde eden öğrenciler, ilgili bilim dalında doktora yapabilmektedirler. Buradan sonra alınan başarı, uluslararası geçerliliğe sahip olan bilim doktoru veya Doctor of Philosophy olarak unvan kişiye kazandırılmaktadır.

PHD nasıl yapılır?

PHD yapmak isteyen öğrenciler için sağlamak zorunda olması gereken bazı şartlar bulunmaktadır. Akademik kariyerlerinin devamı için bu şartları sağlayan adaylar doktora programına başlayabilirler. • Lisans eğitimi ve yüksek lisanslarını iyi bir ortalama ile bitirebilmek,
• Yüksek lisans not ortalaması minimum 3.00 olarak kabul edilmektedir,

• Yurtdışı yüksek lisans eğitimi için IELTS veya TOEFL sınavlarında yeterlilik sağlamak.

• Master of Science - MSc Nedir?

MSc yüksek lisans derecesi anlamına gelir. MSc derecesi, ağırlıklı olarak doğa bilimleri, teknoloji, mühendislik, matematik vb. alanlarda yapılan yüksek lisans çalışmaları sonucunda elde edilir. Bu alan programları genellikle öğrencilere karmaşık konuları anlama, araştırma yapma ve bilimsel yöntemleri uygulama fırsatı sunar. 

MSc, genellikle bir tez veya proje çalışması olmak üzere belirli bir alanda yüksek derecede uzmanlaşmayı gerektirir. Bu çalışmalar özgün araştırmalar yapmayı içerebilir. MSc derecesi özellikle akademik veya araştırma kariyeri için önemlidir, ancak aynı zamanda endüstri, sağlık hizmetleri, teknoloji ve diğer alanlarda istihdam fırsatları da sağlayabilir. 

MSc, birçok ülkede kabul edilen, uluslararası olarak kabul görmüş bir akademik unvandır. İlgili üniversitenin ve programın gereksinimlerine göre kazanılabilmekte olup, program süresi, içeriği ve başvuru yöntemleri programdan programa farklılık gösterebilmektedir.

MSc Açılımı Nedir?

MSc, "Master of Science" kelimesinin kısaltmasıdır. MSc, yüksek lisans seviyesinde verilen akademik bir dereceyi ifade eder.

MSc Bölümleri Nelerdir?

MSc (Master of Science) programları genellikle çeşitli alanlarda sunulmaktadır. MSc programlarının genellikle mevcut olduğu disiplinlerden bazıları şunlardır: 

• Bilim: Fizik, kimya, biyoloji ve astronomi gibi alanlarda yüksek lisans programları mevcuttur. Bu programlar genellikle laboratuvar çalışmalarını içerir ve öğrencilere temel bilimsel ilkeleri anlama ve uygulama fırsatı verir. 
• Mühendislik: MSc programları elektrik mühendisliği, makine mühendisliği, inşaat mühendisliği, yazılım mühendisliği ve diğer mühendislik alanlarında mevcuttur. Mühendislik alanındaki yüksek lisans programları, teknik becerileri geliştirme ve karmaşık mühendislik projeleri üzerinde çalışma fırsatı sunar. 
• Bilgisayar Bilimi ve Bilgi Teknolojisi: Bilgisayar Bilimi, Yazılım Mühendisliği, Yapay Zeka ve Veri Bilimi gibi yüksek lisans programları, bilgi teknolojisine ilgi duyan öğrenciler arasında popülerdir.  
• Matematik ve İstatistik: Matematik ve istatistik alanındaki yüksek lisans programları, matematiksel teorileri anlama, istatistiksel analiz yapma ve verileri yorumlama becerilerini geliştirme fırsatı sunar.  
• Çevre Bilimleri: Çevre bilimleri, iklim değişikliği, doğal kaynak yönetimi, çevre politikası ve sürdürülebilirlik gibi konuları ele alan lisans programlarını içerir.  
• Sağlık Bilimleri: Tıp, diş hekimliği, hemşirelik, eczacılık ve diğer sağlık alanlarındaki yüksek lisans programları, sağlık profesyonellerine ileri düzeyde eğitim vermektedir. 
• İşletme ve Yönetim: İşletme Yönetimi, Finans, Pazarlama ve İnsan Kaynakları gibi yüksek lisans programları, işletmede yönetim becerileri kazanma fırsatı sunar.  
• Sosyal Bilimler: Psikoloji, sosyoloji, antropoloji, eğitim ve diğer sosyal bilimler alanlarında yüksek lisans programları mevcuttur. Bu programlar sosyal olayları anlama ve bunlarla ilgili araştırma yapma yeteneğini geliştirmeye odaklanmaktadır. 
• Sanat ve Beşeri Bilimler: Yüksek lisans programları sanat tarihi, arkeoloji, edebiyat, tarih, iletişim, kültürel çalışmalar ve diğer sanat ve beşeri bilimler alanlarındadır. Bu programlar kültürel anlayışı derinleştirmeyi ve yaratıcı düşünmeyi geliştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. 

Her MSc programı belirli bir disiplin veya alanda uzmanlaşmak için tasarlanmıştır. Programların içeriği öğrencilere farklı yetenekler kazandıracak şekilde tasarlanmıştır ve bu nedenle programdan programa farklılık gösterebilir. Öğrenciler ilgi alanlarına ve kariyer hedeflerine göre en uygun Yüksek Lisans programını seçebilirler.

MSc Öğrencisi Ne Demek?

MSc öğrencisi, "Master of Science" (MSc) derecesi alan bir öğrenciyi tanımlar. Bu öğrenci, lisans eğitimini tamamlamış ve bir alanda uzmanlaşarak eğitimine devam etmek isteyen kişidir. 

MSc öğrencileri, yüksek lisans programına girerek programın gerektirdiği dersleri, tezleri veya proje çalışmalarını tamamlarlar. Bu programlar öğrencilere kendi disiplinlerinde daha fazla bilgi ve beceri kazanma, araştırma ve problem çözme becerilerini geliştirme fırsatı sunar. Yüksek lisans öğrencileri akademik kariyerlerine devam etmeyi veya istedikleri alanda çalışmayı planlayabilirler. MSc öğrencileri ilgi duydukları konularda daha derin bilgi edinme fırsatına sahip olur, böylece belirli bir alandaki bilgi düzeyleri artar. MSc Ünvanı Nasıl Alınır?

Yüksek Lisans (Yüksek Lisans) unvanını almak için aşağıdaki adımları izlemeniz gerekebilir: 

• Lisans diplomasına sahip olun: Yüksek lisans programına başvurabilmeniz için öncelikle lisans diplomasına sahip olmanız gerekir. Bu derece, ilgili alanda temel bilgi ve becerileri edindiğiniz bir lisans programı sonucunda elde edilir. 
• Bir Yüksek Lisans programı seçin: İlgi alanınızda bir yüksek lisans programı seçin. Bu programlar genellikle üniversitelerin web sitelerinde ayrıntılı bilgilerle birlikte listelenir. Program içeriği, gereksinimler, eğitim dili, süre ve başvuru tarihleri ​​gibi önemli bilgileri kontrol edin.
• Başvuru: Seçtiğiniz yüksek lisans programına başvurun. Her programın kendine özgü başvuru süreci ve gereksinimleri vardır. Genellikle elektronik başvuru formunu doldurmanız, gerekli belgeleri (alıntılar, referans mektupları, motivasyon mektupları, dil yeterlilik belgeleri vb.) yüklemeniz, başvuru ücretini ödemeniz ve gerekiyorsa mülakata katılmanız gerekebilir.
• Onay: Başvurunuzun onaylanıp onaylanmadığını görmek için bekleyin. Programa kabul edilirseniz üniversite size bir kabul mektubu gönderecektir.
• Programı tamamlayın: Yüksek Lisans programına katılın ve programda gerekli olan dersleri ve çalışmaları tamamlayın. Program süresi ve gereklilikleri programdan programa farklılık gösterebilir. Özellikle bir tez ya da proje çalışması gerekiyorsa o çalışmayı başarıyla tamamlayın.
• Diplomayı alın: Programı başarıyla tamamladıktan ve tüm gereklilikleri karşıladıktan sonra, üniversite size yüksek lisans diploması verecektir. Bu diploma genellikle mezuniyet töreni sırasında resmi olarak verilir. 

Her üniversitenin ve programın farklı gereksinimleri olabilir, bu nedenle başvuru süreçlerini ve program gerekliliklerini dikkatle incelemek önemlidir. Özellikle uluslararası öğrenciler için vize başvurusunda bulunmanız ve diğer pratik düzenlemeleri yapmanız gerekebilir.

Yurtdışı MSc Programları

Yurt dışında MSc (Master of Science) programları okumak istiyorsanız dünya çapındaki üniversitelerin sunduğu çeşitli seçenekler arasından seçim yapabilirsiniz. Farklı ülkelerdeki yurt dışı yüksek lisans programları için bazı popüler yerler şunlardır: 

• Birleşik Krallık: Birçok İngiliz üniversitesi İngilizce yüksek lisans programları sunmaktadır. Birleşik Krallık , dünyaca ünlü üniversiteleri, birçok farklı alandaki programları ve uluslararası öğrencilere yönelik dostane politikalarıyla ünlüdür. Londra, Manchester, Edinburgh ve Oxford gibi şehirlerde birçok seçenek bulacaksınız. 
• Amerika Birleşik Devletleri: Amerika Birleşik Devletleri dünyanın her yerinden gelen öğrencilere cazip yüksek lisans programları sunmaktadır. Amerikan üniversitelerinin çeşitli disiplinlerde birçok araştırma fırsatı ve programı vardır. New York, Boston, California ve Chicago gibi şehirlerin birçok seçeneği var. 
• Kanada: Kanada, yüksek kaliteli eğitimi, uluslararası öğrencilere yönelik açık politikası ve birçok yüksek lisans programıyla öne çıkıyor. Toronto, Vancouver ve Montreal üniversitelerinin birçok farklı alanda programları vardır. 
• Avustralya: Avustralya, uluslararası öğrencilere kaliteli eğitim, güzel doğa ve samimi bir atmosfer sunar. Sidney, Melbourne ve Brisbane gibi şehirlerde çeşitli yüksek lisans programları mevcuttur.

Eğitim en küçük yaşlardan ölene kadar devam etmesi gereken oldukça önemli olan olgulardan biridir. Akademik eğitim basamakları da diğer basamaklarda önemlidir. Akademik eğitimce MSc tanımı bulunuyor. Birçok kişi MSc tanımını genelde bilmemektedir. MSc nedir? Akademik olarak MSc’nin açılımı ve anlamı nedir? İşte MSc tanımı ile ilgili bilinmesi gereken detaylar.

MSc kavramı eğitim ile ilgili olan bir kavramdır. Lisansüstü eğitim ile ilgili bir tanımdır. Öncelikli olarak ilkokul, Lise, Lisans ve lisansüstü sırası ile eğitim verilmektedir. MSc kavramı da Lisansüstü eğitim ile ilgili kavramdır.

Akademik Olarak Msc'nin Açılımı ve Anlamı Nedir?

MSc kısaltmasının açılımı “Master of Science” şeklindedir. Kimya, fizik, biyoloji gibi fen bilimleri, matematik, tıp, mühendislik bölümleri, bilgisayar bölümleri gibi alanların yüksek lisans bölümleri MSc tanımı altında toplanmaktadır. MSc programlarında eğitim sürecinde genel olarak teorik olarak ön planda tutulduğu bir prensibe aittir.

Laboratuvar koşulları, hesaplamalar, değerlendirmeler ve analiz gibi koşullarda farklılıklar, MSc programının temelini oluşturmaktadır. Tam olarak Türkçe ’ye çevrilecek olursa Bilim Yüksek Lisansı olarak çevrilmektedir. Yurt dışında eğitim faaliyeti gösteren prestijli olan eğitim kurumlarının MSc programlarından mezun olan kişiler kolaylıkla iş bulabilirler. MSc diplomaları kişinin uluslararası olarak kabul görmüş olan yeterliliğe sahip olduklarının kanıtıdır. Dünyanın her yerinde geçerli olan bir diplomadır.

• PsyD  – Like a PhD in Psychology, the Doctor of Psychology degree (PsyD) prepares trainees to practice psychology in a wide range of clinical settings. A PsyD, however, focuses more on clinical practice and less on research.
• PGDip  – A postgraduate diploma (PgD, PgDip, PGDip, PG Dip., PGD, Dipl. PG, PDE) is a postgraduate qualification awarded after a university degree, which supplements the original degree and awards them with a graduate diploma.

MSC (Master of Science) Ne Demek? Açılımı?

MSC diğer bir adı master of science, lisansüstü eğitim görmek isteyen öğrencilerin karşılaştığı ve matematik veya istatistik gibi belli başlı fen bilimi alanlarını kapsayan bir terimdir. Bu kavramın içerisinde fizik, kimya ve biyoloji gibi temel bilimlerin yanı sıra bilgisayar, mühendislik, tıp ve matematiğe ilişkin bölümler de bulunabilmektedir.

MSC aynı zamanda bilim yüksek lisansı anlamına da gelmektedir. Bilimsel alanda kendini daha da geliştirmek ve bir konuda uzmanlaşmak isteyen öğrenciler bu alanı tercih etmekte ve teorik eğitimle zenginleştirilmiş bir müfredat ile uzmanlık kazanmaktadırlar. Bu nedenle de MSc mezunu öğrenciler kolaylıkla kendilerini diğer yüksek lisans öğrencilerinden farklılaştırabilmektedir.

MSc, Master of Science yani bilim alanında yüksek lisans anlamına gelmektedir. MSc programı mezunları dünyanın her yerinde geçerli olan yüksek lisans mezuniyeti alabilmekte ve bu sayede kolaylıkla iş bulabilmektedir.

MSc ve MA Farklılıkları Nelerdir?

MSc, Master of Science (Bilim Yüksek Lisansı) anlamına gelirken MA, Master of Art(Sanat Yüksek Lisansı) anlamına gelmektedir. Kısaca, MSc fizik, kimya, biyoloji, mühendislik gibi sayısal ağırlıklı dersleri kapsarken MA, sanat dersleri ile, felsefe, sosyal bilimler gibi alanları kapsamaktadır. Bölüm türlerinin yanı sıra MSC ile MA arasındaki diğer önemli fark MSc yapılırken genellikle öğrencilerden tez yazılması beklenirken MA alanında ise tez yazılması yaygın değildir.

MSc programları aynı zamanda MA programlarına göre daha teknik eğitimleri ve konuları kapsamaktadır. MA dersleri ise büyük seminer salonlarında verilerek MSc’nin küçük gruplu ders anlatımından kendisini ayırmaktadır. Bu nedenle de öğrenciler hem kendi alanlarına hem de gelecekte yapmak istedikleri mesleğe bakarak MSc veya Ma programlarından birisini tercih etmektedir.

MSc ve MA Araştırma ve Tez konularında Farklılıklar Bulunur Mu?

MSc programlarında genellikle araştırma ve tez konularında teknik konular tercih edilmektedir, MA programlarında ise araştırma konuları ise sosyal konuları içeren ve daha kısa sürede sonuç elde edilebilen verileri içeren araştırma konuları kapsamında yürütülmektedir. Örneğin, MSc programlarında hücrelerin yapısını laboratuvar ortamında geniş çaplı bir şekilde incelenirken, MA programlarında ise bireylerin sosyal hayatlarının farklılıklarını sahaya inerek kısa bir süre içerisinde gözlemlenmesi mümkündür.

MSc Hangi Meslek?

MSc bir meslek adı değildir yapılan yüksek lisans programını kapsayan genel bir isimdir. MSc ile birlikte fen bilimleri derslerini ya da mühendislik ile tıp gibi sayısal bölümleri kapsayan alanların yüksek lisans uzmanlığı kastedilmektedir.

MSc Hangi Bölüm?

MSc programları genel olarak bilgisayar ile alakalı bölümleri, işletme ve iktisat, matematik, biyokimya, fizik, mühendislik ya da tıp gibi bölümleri içerdiğinden tek bir bölüm değildir. MSc kısaca bilimsel veya matematiksel programları ifade etmek için kullanılan bir kavramdır.

MSc Özelliği Nedir?

Bu nedenle de MSc mezunlarının iş bulabilmesi ve alanındaki uzmanlıkları olumlu bir şekilde değerlendirebilmesi daha olasıdır. Bu özellikleri nedeniyle de teorik manadaki bilgilerin ön planda tutulduğu bir eğitim süreci olarak laboratuvar koşulları, hesaplama yapma ya da analiz etme süreçlerine alışıklık kazanmaktadırlar.

Psikoloji MA mı MSc mi?

Psikoloji dersleri bazı okullarda MSc dersleri arasında olsa da çoğunlukla sosyal bilimler içerisinde olduğu için MA (Master of Art) dersleri arasında yer almaktadır. Yoğun şekilde seminer ve araştırma çalışmaları yapılarak yürütüldüğü için birçok okul bu disiplini MA dersleri arasında görmektedir.

Günümüzde eğitim hayatında pek çok akademik eğitimler bulunmaktadır. Üniversite mezunu olan kişiler kendilerini geliştirmek için pek çok akademik eğitimlere başvurular. Bunlardan birisi de Phd olmaktadır. Peki Phd nedir? Phd açılımı ve nasıl yapılır hakkındaki bilgileri sizlere detaylıca derledik.

Phd Açılımı

Phd günümüzde yaygın olarak yapılan doktora akademik eğitimidir. Dünya üzerinde geçerliliği olan bu eğitime sahip olan tüm kişiler tüm üniversitelere başvurabilme hakkı kazanırlar. Doctor Of Philosophy'nin kısaltması olan Phd'ye başvuran kişiler üniversitelerde akademik kariyerlerinin yanı sıra dünya üzerinde de bir standarda sahip olabilmek için bu programı tercih ederler.

Phd Nasıl Yapılır?

Phd programına başvurmak isteyen pek çok kişi bulunmaktadır. Fakat bı programa başvurabilmek için lisans eğitimi ve ardından yüksek lisans eğitiminin tamamlanması gerekir. Fakat bazı istisnai durumlar da mevcuttur. Bu durumlardan birisi üniversitelerde başarılı lisan eğitimini yapan kişiler mezun olduktan sonra doktora programlarına katılabilirler.

Phd yapabilmek için öğrencilerin not ortalamalarının iyi olması gerekir. Not ortalaması iyi olan öğrencilerin başvurabilecekleri üniversite sayıları da artmaktadır. Bunun dışında iyi bir not ortalamasına sahip olmak iyi üniversitelerde Phd yapma imkanı da sağlamaktadır.

Doktora diğer adı ile Phd programları genellikle 3 ile 5 yıl aralığında değişmektedir. Ayrıca doktora öğrencilerin yapması gereken bir araştırma süreçleri de bulunmaktadır.

You should think carefully about what kind of research degree you want. If you want only a taste of research or are doing it only to improve your chances at a specialist registrar interview, go for the MSc. This is usually a one year taught course with an experimental project and is a good way of learning the basics of science. If you wish to do more detailed science and are considering a career in academic medicine, then think about a PhD. This will mean more time commitment (at least three years) and more intellectual commitment. The compromise degrees are the MD or MS. These usually require two years of work and therefore permit more in-depth research than the MSc. The MD or its equivalent is popular among medics. When deciding which degree to go for you should check all the various regulations and also the fees that may be entailed.

At the end of the day the choice is up to you. The key questions are: why are you doing research and how much time and energy do you want to commit to it?

1.When is the Application Period and How can I apply?

Applications to graduate programmes are accepted twice a year, with the spring semester deadline in December-January , and the autumn semester deadline in July-August . Applications are made online through the following website: https://obs.akdeniz.edu.tr/oibs/ina_app/login.aspx .   In order to have their applications considered, applicants must upload the documents listed below to the online application system, and meet the specified requirements.

2.What are the Requirements for Graduate Programmes?

1.Copy of Undergraduate Degree and/or Master’s Degree Diploma

2.Approved Turkish translation of the Undergraduate Degree and/or Master’s Degree Diploma (from an embassy or accredited translator)

3.Copy of the Undergraduate Degree and/or Master’s Degree Transcript

4.Approved Turkish translation of the Undergraduate Degree and/or Master’s Degree Transcript (from an embassy or accredited translator)

5. C1 Level of Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate (Candidates who have graduated from any State Universities in Türkiye are not required to submit a Turkish Proficiency Certificate)

6.Foreign Language Proficiency Certificate for the programmes offered with 100% English and all the doctorate programmes

7.Diploma Equivalency Certificate or Diploma Recognition Document (If available) Important note: Candidates applying to the graduate programmes of the Institute of  Health Sciences must submit one of the documents below;

• Okul Tanıma Yazısı ’ Document obtained from the Higher Education Council (YÖK)( Recognition of the applicant’s previous university degree) is required for the programmes without clinical applications,
• Diploma Equivalency Certificate obtained from the Higher Education Council (YÖK) is required for the programmes containing clinical applications.

8.When applying to Graduate Programmes, an Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) certificate is not required.

9.When applying to a Doctorate/Proficiency in Art Programme; candidates must upload to the application system their Foreign Language Examination Result certificate for a Foreign Language Examination (YDS- 55 pts ) or International Foreign Language Examination (TOEFL IBT- min. 66 pts ) which is accepted by the council of the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM)

10.When applying to a Master’s Degree Programmes offered with Turkish as a language of instruction, a foreign language qualification is not required.

3.How is my application evaluated?

-To be accepted on master’s degree programmes, candidates must achieve a total of 65 points , of which 40% will be made up of undergraduate degree grades, and 60% will be awarded from the interview/ written exam assessment . Candidate grades will be listed from high to low. Candidates who achieve the required grade but who are not included in the quota will be listed as substitute candidates.

-To be accepted on doctorate programmes, candidates must receive a total of 70 points , of which 40% will be made up of undergraduate degree grades, and 60% will be awarded from the interview/written exam assessment. 4.When is the interview/written exam and results of the exam?

The interview or written exam dates and the exam results will be announced on the relevant institute’s website.  Please follow the relevant institute’s website during the student Intake period.

5.What are the required documents for Final Registration?

Applicants who are eligible for final registration must submit the items listed below when they register for their graduate programmes. Registration must take place within the dates determined in the academic calendar for Graduate Programmes.

• A letter of application for registration
• 2 Photographs (4.5 x 6 cm, taken within the previous 6 months)
• Turkish Residence Permit (if available)
• Copy of Undergraduate Degree and/or Master’s Degree Diploma
• Approved Turkish translation of the Undergraduate Degree and/or Master’s Degree Diploma (from an embassy or accredited translator)
• Copy of the Undergraduate Degree and/or Master’s Degree Transcript
• Approved Turkish translation of the Undergraduate Degree and/or Master’s Degree Transcript (from an embassy or accredited translator)
• Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate
• A Foreign Language Certificate (for 100% English Master Programmes and all Doctorate Programmes)

6.Which Turkish Proficiency Certificates are acceptable?

The C1 Level Turkish Proficiency Certificates which are accepted by the Council of Institutes are listed below:

• Turkish Proficiency Certificate from the Akdeniz University TÖMER,
• Turkish Proficiency Certificate  awarded by Yunus Emre Institutions,

7.Foreign Language Proficiency Certificate

The Foreign Language Proficiency Equivalencies* for Master’s Degree Programmes in which the language of instruction is 100% English, and for all Doctorate Programmes are listed below:

• YDS (Foreign Language Examination, min. 55 pts.
• TOEFL IBT (min.66 Pts.)
• CAE (C Level)
• CPE (C Level)
• PEARSON PTE (min. 50 pts.)

*The Minimum level of Language Proficiencies can vary by institutes in accordance with decisions taken by the Council of Institutes.

**IELTS Scores are not accepted by Turkish Higher Education Council.

8.What is the Level of Accepted Foreign Language Certificates for graduate programmes offered with a foreign language ;

-When applying to German Language and Literature Master’s Programme in which the language of instruction is 100% German;

Candidates must upload to the application system their Foreign Language Examination Result certificate for the Foreign Language Examination (YDS - min.65 pts ) or International Foreign Language Examination (TELC min. C1/Ausreichhend) which is accepted by the council of the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM),

-When applying to English Language and Literature Master’s Programme in which the language of instruction is 100% English;

Candidates must upload to the application system their Foreign Language Examination Result certificate for the Foreign Language Examination (YDS- min. 85 pts) or International Foreign Language Examination (TOEFL IBT-min 102 pts) which is accepted by the council of the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM)

-When applying to International Tourism Management Master’s Programme in which the language of instruction is 100% English ;

Candidates must upload to the application system their Foreign Language Examination Result certificate for the Foreign Language Examination (YDS - min.70pts ) or International Foreign Language Examination (TOEFL IBT- min.84 pts ) which is accepted by the council of the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM),

-When applying to Gene and Cell Therapy Doctorate Programme in which the language of instruction is 100% English;

Candidates must upload to the application system their Foreign Language Examination Result certificate for the Foreign Language Examination (YDS - min.80 pts) or International Foreign Language Examination (TOEFL – IBT min.96 pts ) which is accepted by the council of the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM).

-A Turkish Language Proficiency certificate is not required when applying to Master’s Degree/Doctorate Programmes in which the language of instruction is 100% English .

-Candidate who has dual citizenship (if s/he has also granted T.C citizenship) can not apply to both T.C. Citizen quotas and International Student quotas at the same time.

9.What is the Tuition Fee for a year :

The Annual tuition fee for graduate programmes at Akdeniz University will be 45.500,00 TL for the 2022/2023 academic year. Any changes to be made in Tuition Fees will be announced at a later date.

10.What is the language of instruction at Akdeniz University?

Turkish is the main language of instruction at Akdeniz University with the exception of programmes which are listed as providing all courses in a foreign language or languages. The programmes in which the whole of the course is taught in a foreign language are;

11.Compulsory Attendance

Attendance is compulsory for all courses at Akdeniz University. Students must attend a minimum of 80% of the classes for their applied courses and a minimum of 70% of the classes for their theoretical courses. Students who do not attend the required number of classes will not be allowed to take their examinations, and they will be required to repeat the same course the following year.

12. Dormitories

- International Students may stay at the Credit and Hostels Institution affiliated to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. However, since the quota reserved for International Students is very limited, they can mostly stay in private dormitories/pensions around the campus.

In order to apply to the Ministry for hostels, foreign higher education students in Türkiye must have a Foreigner Identification Number which is obtained from Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Interior . As students who do not have a Foreigner Identification Number will not be able to apply for hostels, it is of great importance for you to obtain your Foreigner Identification Number beforehand.

13.Residence permit

-International Students can submit the necessary documents for residence permit to the Registrar's Office of the Student Affairs Office after completing the registration process for the program they have been placed in.

14.Scholarship

-Akdeniz University does not offer scholarship for international students.

M.Sc Ph.D is a three to six years-long dual degree programme that combines MSc and P.hD. This integrated course rewards a student with a double degree. A M.Sc. is a postgraduate degree in science discipline. Candidates who have completed a B.Sc. are eligible for enrolling in M.Sc. While a PhD is a doctoral level research degree programme. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission in M.Sc. Ph.D integrated degree program is an aggregate of 55 percent to 60 percent and above or equivalent grade in the Bachelor’s degree.

The minimum eligibility criteria for SC/ST candidates are relaxed to pass class over the first class in the qualifying examination.
