October 18; Kalighat: Kolkata is again hit by a horrendous bank robbery in the kalighat Branch of ICICI bank. According to the branch manager, it was at around 2:30 when a gang of 4 robbers came to the branch in the disguise of customers.

As per the branch’s security guard, they entered the bank separately. One of them was enquiring about opening a new account while another one distracted the security guard. There were very few customers at that time in the bank.

According to one of them, two fellow wearing masks suddenly entered the bank, locked the main gate and showed fire weapons and gathered all the customers and bank staff at one place. Then the first one who was talking to the manager about opening an account put him in gunpoint and opened the vault.

According to the bank, they looted around 15 lakhs of rupees and some important property papers are also missing. They fired 4 rounds of bullets in the air while fleeing from the bank. Kalighat police station is investigating the whole case.

According to the chief investigating officer Sambar Dasgupta the robbery was well planned and that’s why it was neat and clean. Police are checking all the available CCTV footage and hoping to arrest those individuals and rescue the money.

Daring Attempt of Robbery in a Public Sector Bank on  Sunday Night

June 15; Chowringhee: A desperate attempt of robbery has been recorded in a public sector bank’s Chowringhee branch. It was the security guard who first noticed the main lock of the front gate was broken.

August 19; Bhawanipur: The people of Kolkata are flabbergasted by a vicious bank robbery in Axis Bank Bhawanipur branch that has taken one innocent life. A dangerous daring robbery broke out in the bank yesterday afternoon.

According to the branch manager, a gang of at least six robbers infiltrated the bank in masks at around 3:30 pm and took 9 customers as a hostage in front of modern fire weapons. Then they threatened to kill them if the manager did not open the main vault.

As per the bank’s report, the estimated loss is of around 1.75 crores of cash and jewellery. Some important property papers are also missing. One of them was captured and banged by local people. But in the firing one man was killed and two people got bullets in their hand and thigh respectively.

Three of them were immediately taken to the nearest hospital. One of them was announced as dead and the other two are admitted in ICU under observance. The captured fellow has been arrested by the police and is being interrogated.

June 3rd, Serampore: A notorious bank robbery has been recorded again in a public sector bank’s Serampore branch. This time the loss is much more than money. It was some vintage historical gold coins and small gold statues.

The Police team upon reaching the spot quickly calmed the Victims as they were in a deep state of Shock and Panic. The Hostages included the likes of Old people and Children aged, 6-10. The incident sent the City and perhaps the entire state under a state of utter Shock and Disbelief. The police officials have reported having received a few pieces of evidence which would help in nabbing the heartless criminals who had the guts to steal the hard-earned money of the Account holders. No arrest have been made, till the last update came in.

East Burdwan, 21 January, 2022: The robbery took place at a state-owned bank in Burdwan city on Friday morning. Bank authorities allege that a group of six miscreants looted Rs 33 lakh. 

After the incident, there was widespread unrest in Burdwan. East Burdwan district police has already formed a seat in the robbery case. District Superintendent of Police Kamnashis Sen said Naka checking has been started in different areas.

According to the customers present at the bank during the robbery, a group of six miscreants entered the branch of the state-owned bank shortly after the opening of the bank on Friday morning. 

At that time there were 10-15 customers inside the bank. Witnesses said the miscreants' faces were covered in black cloth and they had school bags on their backs. It is alleged that they snatched the mobile phones of the customers by showing firearms as soon as they entered the bank. After that the bank employees were beaten and looted. 

The accused escaped after recovering from the robbery in a very short time. He also locks the gate of the bank while leaving. According to an eyewitness, the miscreants were talking among themselves in Hindi.

Upon receiving the news, the police of Burdwan police station went to the spot. Senior Superintendent of Police Kamnashis Sen, Additional Superintendent of Police Kalyan Singh Roy, IC of Burdwan Police Station Sukhmoy Chakraborty and other senior officers were present on the occasion. 

According to the Superintendent of Police, about Rs 3 million was robbed at that branch of the state-owned bank. He also said that a SIT (Special Investigation Team) been formed to investigate the incident. He also said that CCTV camera footage spread in the city is being examined. Bank manager Kundan Kishore said the miscreants fled with Rs 33 lakh.

East Burdwan, 21 January, 2022: Adventurous robbery happened at a state-owned bank in the heart of East Burdwan. 

“Armed miscreants looted Rs 33 lakh in cash and fled”, the bank authorities claimed. The news of the incident caused a great stir in the city. Upon receiving the news, East Burdwan District Superintendent of Police Kamnashish Sen, Additional Superintendent of Police Kalyan Singh Roy and other police officials of Burdwan Police Station rushed to the spot.

Naka checking started on various roads of the district in search of fugitive miscreants. Work is underway to identify the culprits by looking at the CCTV footage of the scene including the bank.

Bank robbery sparked a stir in Curzon Gate, the heart of Burdwan city, on Friday. A special team has been made to investigate the incident. Note that this is not the first robbery in Burdwan city. Two years ago, on 16 July 2020, a robbery took place at a gold lending company in the BC Road area of ​​Burdwan. This time an adventurous robbery had caused at a city-owned bank branch in the city.

Deepa Kumar, the wife of an employee of this bank, witnessed the incident on that day. She said that she had come to the bank to pay her sick husband at around 10.45 am. Upon entering the bank, a group of Hindi-speaking youths asked her and her husband to sit down. After that the youths took their mobile phones. He said that there were 5-6 youths in the group.

It is learned that all the miscreants who came to rob the bank on that day had firearms in their hands. They had their faces covered and school bags on their backs. Leaving everyone seated, the robbers asked for a key from a bank official. The miscreants left the bank by 10:30 am after carrying out the operation before anyone understood anything. Before leaving, the miscreants hung the lock from outside the main gate of the bank.

Anita Sarkar, a customer inside the bank at the time of the robbery, Sushma Mallikara said that a gang of 6 people broke into the bank as soon as it started working. In all, nearly 10-15 customers were there inside the bank. The miscreants snatched the mobile phones of all the customers, beat the bank workers and started looting.

Meanwhile, the bank's alarm went off soon after the money was looted. Senior officials of local police and district police came to the spot. They talked to the bank officials as well as the customers inside the bank. Kundan Kishore, manager of the bank, said, "After beating two employees of the bank, the miscreants looted Rs 33 lakh and fled." An employee of the bank said, 'The miscreants snatched the key of the bank vault by showing firearms. The miscreants took money out of the vault and packed it in a bag and walked out of the bank. The miscreants fled with the bank's 'hard disk'.

Police have started investigation into the bank robbery. Burdwan District Superintendent of Police Kamnashish Sen said the investigation has been started by forming a seat. Naka checking is being carried out in different areas to reach the miscreants. CCTV footage is being scrutinized. It is being investigated whether the miscreants were local or came from outside.

Jaipur, 24th July, 20XX: In a Daylight robbery, armed criminals shot at employees of the Punjab National Bank (PNB) and looted 40 lakh from them. A security guard of the bank got injured in a gunshot and had a serious shoulder injury.  He is admitted to the city hospital. He has identified one of the robbers as being an employee of the bank.

The incident took place at about 1:40 PM  in Samta Nagar when the Branch Staff of PNB was on its way back to the branch carrying the cash withdrawn from the regional office of the Reserve Bank in a metal trunk. Their vehicle was seized by a Tata Indigo and at least five criminals got down and fired in the air. They then smashed one side glass window of the bank’s vehicle, dragged the driver out, and beat him up.

Other security personnel and the cashier were also beaten up and threatened to be shot at. The dacoits fled after snatching their mobile phones and the metal trunk containing the cash. Samta Nagar SP said that a hunt is on for the dacoits who had prior knowledge about the cash movement. The vehicle no. has been recorded by an eye witness.

MALDA, March 06: A daring bank robbery took place in the Central Bank of India , Makdumpur Branch P.O- Makdumpur at Malda. A gang of robbers entered the bank at about 12 noon in the form of customers. All of a sudden, one of them requested the Branch Manager to talk to him personally. He was allowed to enter the chamber of the manager after half an hour. He took a revolver from his bag which was on his back. 

Then he threatened him not to shout at all, otherwise, he would be dead. In the meantime, other miscreants did everything positive on their parts like threatening the cashier and all the rest. They looted RS. 8,00000 (Eight Lac) and left the place immediately. While leaving the bank tear gas was thrown into the air. As a consequence, the bank staff and those present in the bank could not notice. Later when everything was visible the case was reported to the police. The police rushed to the spot. No one was arrested so far.

Police searching for woman accused of robbing Union County bank

The robbery happened at the truist bank in front of the monroe mall..

MONROE, N.C. (WBTV) - Authorities are searching for a suspect who robbed a bank in Union County this past Saturday.

The robbery happened around 10:30 a.m. at the Truist Bank in front of the Monroe Mall, the Monroe Police Department said.

Police said the suspect is a woman who was wearing a black hat, a purple shirt, dark glasses and a surgical mask. She is described as short and heavy-set.

It is unclear if the woman made any threats or how much money she took.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call Monroe Police at 704-282-4700, or Union County Crime Stoppers at 704-283-5600. Tips could lead to a cash reward.

Bank of America branch robbed Tuesday morning near downtown Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) - Authorities were investigating a bank robbery that occurred Tuesday morning near downtown Lawrence, authorities said.

The robbery was reported around 9:20 a.m. Tuesday at the Bank of America in the 900 block of Ohio Street.

Initial reports indicated that a man in a black beanie cap with a black mask with a design on it, and possibly all black clothing, fled the bank to the south in the alley between Tennessee and Ohio streets.

No injuries have been reported.

WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police have arrested a 49-year-old man accused of robbing a Bank of Hawaii branch in Waikiki Saturday morning.

The suspect walked into the bank on Kalakaua Avenue around 10 a.m.

Officials said he allegedly handed a note to the teller that said he had a gun, then demanded money.

He made off with an unknown amount of money and ran away on foot.

Authorities arrest West Columbia woman in bank robbery

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A 30-year-old West Columbia woman was arrested on Thursday after police said she robbed a bank.

The bank robbery happened at Security Federal Bank in West Columbia at 11:30 a.m. Authorities said the woman “alluded” to having a handgun while demanding money, however, never presented one.

Satorius Zayevon Martin was arrested around 1:30 p.m. and was transported to the Lexington County Detention Center.

Martin is facing charges related to the robbery, according the police. No one was injured during the crime, police said.

“We are grateful for the quick and coordinated response by our officers and partners at the FBI and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department,” said Police Chief Marion Boyce. “This arrest is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of all the law enforcement personnel involved.”

Money was given to Martin, but an exact amount was not made public by law enforcement.

NEWPORT, Vt. (WCAX) - Police have arrested a New Hampshire man in connection with a bank robbery in Vermont.

Newport police say it happened at about 9:45 a.m. on Monday at the Passumpsic Savings Bank on Gardner Street in Newport.

Investigators say Barry English, 38, of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed a note to a teller demanding cash in large bills. They say he threatened the staff and warned them he had a gun but did not show it. They say English left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and took off toward New Hampshire.

Police spotted his car on Interstate 93, where he led them on a pursuit before they stopped him in Plymouth.

English is charged with robbery and assault.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - Police in Lawrence are searching for a man possibly wearing all black who robbed a Bank of America.

At around 9:20 a.m., authorities were notified of a robbery in the area of 900 Ohio Street at a Bank of America. The robber was last seen running south.

No injuries were reported.

Later Tuesday afternoon, LKPD detectives asked the public to check home security cameras if they are a resident who lives in the area from 8th and 13th between Louisiana and Vermont.

According to a University of Kansas Emergency Alert, the suspect was seen running toward campus, but there is no indication that he actually entered campus. They state he is a 6′2 male.

The man was reportedly wearing a black beanie, a black mask with an unknown design on it and possibly all-black clothing.

Anyone who has video from that area that may have captured anything of interest Tuesday morning before or after the robbery is asked to contact LKPD dispatch at 785-832-7509.

The suspect is described as a white woman, believed to be 50 to 70 years old standing 5′3″ to about 5′8″ tall with a thin build.

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (KKTV) - Authorities in Colorado are offering a reward tied to a bank robbery case.

According to a crime poster shared by Metro Denver Crime Stoppers on social media, the robbery happened June 25 at about 10:30 in the morning near the 3500 block of S. Wadsworth Boulevard. The bank robbed was a FirstBank.

DPS makes arrest after attempted Timpson bank robbery

TIMPSON, Texas (KLTV) - Texas DPS troopers arrested an alleged bank robber Tuesday morning in Timpson.

According to their release, DPS responded to a robbery call at Austin Bank in Timpson within two minutes of the report. Upon arrival, they said troopers found the suspect threatening bystanders with a pellet gun.

The suspect was arrested and transferred to the Shelby County Jail.

The victim told police the suspect put a gun to his head before robbing him..

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man says he was robbed Sunday morning while at Regions Bank on Clarksville Pike in the Bordeaux area of Nashville, according to an arrest affidavit.

Tyrice Barnes, 25, is accused of pointing a gun at the man before taking his phone, keys, and card before running off. The victim called 911 afterward and explained the suspect was wearing all black, including a face mask and a camouflage-colored backpack.

According to the arrest report, the responding officer reported seeing the suspect less than a mile away from the bank. The officer stated she spotted the suspect near Ashton Avenue and John Mallette Drive. The officer stated she told the suspect that he matched the description of a robbery suspect in the area..

According to the arrest report, the officer said she noticed a gun print on the suspect’s waistband. She said she asked him if he was armed and he confirmed. The officer stated the suspect cooperated and was patted down before being put in her patrol car.

The arrest report noted that a set of keys was found on the suspect.

Through the investigation process, the suspect was identified as Barnes.

He is charged with aggravated robbery and is in jail on a $85,000 bond.
